This is cute, and a fun interpretation of the theme. It's also every nightmare I've ever had about Tingle, lol. Your music fits perfectly. :)

I'm not gonna lie. The game made me laugh XD. The concept is super funny. The pixel art is fantastic and I love the hugger guy style and animation. It is a little bit hard to survive but it is enjoyable.

I love the art style and animations! Your take on the theme is also very original and funny. The game itself is simple but efficient, with just enough mechanics to properly defend yourself against those disrespectful huggers. Well done mate! Keep making games ;-)

The hugger "species" is all too real, dude. The game is hilarious and resonates with me personally. The only thing I found confusing is when I could use the AOE blast attack. Art style fit just right - the music got a little repetitive. Great job!

@lylefreeks Haha yeah, too bad I didn't have time to implement the "Talkers" and "Callers" :P But I will continue with this game in the future and hopefully it will be complete one day :)

Yea I noticed that the AoE attack was not clear enough. It cost 10 awkwardness points and it is supposed to be like a gamble between getting some space or lose points xD

Thanks for playing and reviewing all of you guys :) @eric-kulbiej @pandademic42 @holdmeimscared @bichodust @dongle @spacemonkey @lylefreeks really appreciate it

@ryan123rudder thanks :3

@otmani-yacer thanks :) yeah I know! I had problems with the collision for the player. when I enabled collisions for walls other collision didnt work. So I was not able to fix it in time

I love this idea! The theme with running out of PERSONAL space made me giggle. I love being chased by huggers and dashing to avoid them! This has a lot of potential, I'm sad that you didn't have tie to fix the wall colliders because it makes the "running out of space" more meaningless... I'm also sad I didn't get to see those talkers and callers! THey are surely amazing too! Great job making this game!

Had a good laugh with this. These huggers' animations and sounds are very suspect :P. The dash mechanic worked well with the challenge of having to escape the huggers, and I always appreciate a good dash mechanic ( I wish we could dash IRL). The AOE attack felt good, I tried to see how many huggers I could explode at once, things got very awkward. It would have been cool if you added a small score system to give players a sense of achievement (intrinsic goals). Also, I know you mentioned you didn't have time for the wall colliders, but I feel like that without them, it makes achieving the goal very easy through exploitation, if a player can exploit, they likely will. Anyway, overall it was awesome, cheers!

I found running in a circle around the entire map was a pretty good tactic. Do the enemies spawn more after a certain awkwardness or when you destroy them with your attack? It seemed like there was only 5-6 huggers for the longest period of time, then I killed them and suddenly dozens of huggers started chasing me.

Would love to see more enemies!

Dude, death by bearded DOMs crushing?! BRUUUTAL! I love it. Those huggers are just pure dread. Pixels are awesome, sfx is perfect, music is goodish. Overall, this casual game rocks. 5/7!

Nice take on the theme. I don't know if this is a bug but I could leave the tiles and walk on the grey area so the game became a lot less challenging.

Edit: ok I see someone else mentioned this.

@zuhairghias Yes I added a small section in the description where I point that out!

Thanks for playing and reviewing :))

That was hilariously creepy :sweat_smile:

At this point I would suggest to just embrace that non colliding walls, and put a ring of those huggers (a **thick** one!) around the arena, with them only activated when the player is nearby. That way players exploiting the "bug" will be in for a surprise :laughing:
