Ahoy guys!

Those were quite long and busy three days, and here we are, finally presenting you our newest game called LokoRush!

This is a crazy combo of Racing / Tower Defense game, where you drive little locomotives as quickly as possible in order to achieve the finish first.

But your opponents, apparently, have a headstart, so there is no way to beat them unless you build some towers in the slots around the map.

The trick is, the towers you're gonna build do not differentiate between you and other locomotives. Since, apparently, you are all locomotives.

Have fun with figuring out how to beat this game!

Didn't seem like the turrets mattered! Or switching tracks!

The game is very fun, but I dont understand the concept. But it's fun. But I can't understand.

Switching tracks is a useful way to avoid turrets fire!
And... well, it's pretty easy to die if you just drive into the turret, so why wouldn't they matter? )

At first play I didn't quite understand how the towers were placed and I started the race too fast. But cool concept, love the weird tracks going up the mountains and such. Would have loved to have a different view of the level when placing the towers, to kind of see the tracks and plan a strategy. I think that would help.

Cool idea, but I think it needs some polishment. I just pressed W at start and won by doing nothing :)
The track was cool though, I like rough mountains.

@heyycap @MathijsVissers @justsWn thank you for your feedback! We have made a balance patch that does not change anything in the core mechanics, but instead assures that you have to use towers in order to win, as well as switch tracks. We have kept old LD version on itch.io, but highly recommend playing updated version not to ruin game experience by this balance issue.

Interesting concept, this would lend itself for one of those weird VR games that sell just for being VR ;)

How about you grab a friend an test out our game [Flong](https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/flong)?

I like this concept! At first I didn't understand the building aspect but the race was quite fun until I got past the other two trains, then I just had to wait for the finish line.

It took me a few tries to figure out how the setting of towers at the beginning works, but once I learned that the game was more enjoyable, although I found it hard to remember what turret was where in order to try and not be destroyed by it!

I like the concept of racing tower defense! And I think that with some more work and polish it could become a great game ! :)

Keep up the hard work!

Best part was just the tracks themselves. The routes were hilarious and it was fun to just watch the environment as you twist and turned up mountains and such. I could see the towers having a bit more impact especially if you could lay more devastating traps down to stop whoever's in first place.
