The world is full of papers and pens. You have the chance to do something about this. Spend your time collecting the proper documentation, fill out forms and deliver these to the corresponding government institute. Beware, the more paperwork you take on, the worse it gets. Make sure to avoid the dangers of fire and bureaucrats, but as long as there is ink left in your pen, there is still hope.

CONTROLS

Move - WASD/Arrows

Jump - SPACE

Grab Document - E

Drop Document - Q

Restart Level - R

(Several documents can be carried at the same time, but will slow you down)

The sound is pretty good and helps the game a lot. It's a little bit irritating to "sign" after every level different types of paper. I found it pretty annoying after the 3rd time :/
All in all I like the gameplay and the idea!

The most impressive part is that you managed to pull out something with such a big team and this tight release !

Graphics are so good ! Animations suits very well too, good job on that !
Controls feels a bit rough (stuck for no reason, hard to control the jump) but that's ok
Concept is really innovative, but guys, I gave up filling all those forms even if it made me laugh a lot haha

Good job on this one !

Interesting concept. Of course, the paperwork proved tedious, but still interesting. I liked the animations. The jumping was a bit finicky, especially when carrying documents.

Ah, the hidden references... Paperwork that weighs you down, suits that push paper... ;D

Interesting game, I quite enjoyed it, especially the Kafkaesque setting. The greatest part was all the paperwork between levels, that was such a nice touch! Just like the music and the overall aesthetics. Very cool and fitting concept! Quite a unique take on the theme!
The gameplay does get boring after a while and the controls are not the greatest, as the character seems to be sliding sometimes. I would have liked a bit more complex gameplay in the later stages, but nice job overall!

Being from a very administrative country, I really understand your game motivation. Also, I like the signing process and the "joke" of calling for advice without any further results. Just a little bit simple on the graphics. Mechanics are great. I love the idea of being tight to a bunch of papers. Good job.

I liked the concept of this game (a little bit hard to play on my keyboard, but no prob I never had any skill on it anyway)
I also like the graphics and the sound. So nice work.

Right from the get-go I could say that I like the visual design of your game, I think it all fits together nicely! Controlling the player felt nice. Although getting stuck on blocks sometimes 'cause of all the paperwork was a bit frustrating, but not in a way that made me want to quit the game! xD

I liked the concept of doing paperwork, didn't expect that type of topic. But I wonder, was it intentional that the pens' ink refill if you don't use them up entirely? 'Cause I didn't really need to worry about collecting more pens since you only really need to draw straight lines to fill out the forms. Maybe having the player permanently lose ink would make that aspect more effective?

Overall I had fun playing your game, and so far it's one of the best ones I've tested!

Btw @nightsong, I'm expecting peaches in your next game now, just so you know. ;D

A very interesting idea. I will follow you

Small feedback:
* I liked the responsive controls and visual design. Stage of filling of documents looks very nice.
* I didn't like the drag and drop stacks of papers. I often get stuck when jumping.

I like the graphics a lot and the levels were cool, but the signing part was really tedious.

Very cool. I love the idea and innovation of this game. I love many aspects of it. The things I love the most is the way the layout is: like paper. Also, I love how it is wavy borders and the idea of having a pen that runs out. I love the idea of the game. I love the humor too!

### Suggestions
- Don't allow switching what box to sign on one mouse down (once mouse down to sign, only allow signing in that box, not others)
- Make the music on the signing paper work be like the music during playing (not boring and repeating, so more exciting)

Overall cool game. I will certainly try to [get this game 20 ratings](https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/40/ginas-bed-breakfast/$70509).

Great visuals, and music and a funny concept. I think the impact sound effect for when the player lands is way too loud. The biggest issue I had was jumping while carrying documents. I know the documents are supped to weigh you down, but it meant that I could hardly ever make it over one platform. Often I had to wait for the accountant to walk and push my stack up so that I could proceed.

Very original game, gotta give you that!
Your take on the theme was pretty original. The art, music and sound were pretty good and fitting. As other have said before, the signing documents between levels was a bit annoying. Loved the giant hand thing in the last level, was very monty pythonesque. Good job guys!

This entry was something to behold. Great mechanics with some puzzle aspects to match up the great art and music. The idea of managing ink (while not being able to trick the system with just some minor strokes) was a great addition to it. At one point I was just trying to recreate my signature just to immerse myself a bit more on the game.

Still, I ended up hitting a gamebreaking bug, which I hope you have an idea on how to fix. At one point, the guy in suit gave me some paperwork that I couldn't pick up, even though I no longer had anything with me.

![chrome_2017-12-09_13-27-19.png](///raw/519/z/e610.png)

I restarted the level, and I couldn't even pick up the default things.

I've got no clue as to what created this. I do remember that, for some reason, my character jumped over the enemy, leaving the package on the other side, so he became a bureaucratic sandwich. At the very least, that was funny.

Well, regardless, it was a fantastic take on the theme. Congratulations! [In behalf of my team](twitter.com/whalesandgames), we're looking forward to seeing more impressive works from you. Cheers! :whale:

Neat game, sound design was pretty good, the mechanic of being tied to the paper felt cumbersome though. I feel like I would've enjoyed the game more if it had just been a platformer, while it might be realistic that the paper would slow me down and get me stuck on things, it wasn't particularly fun haha

Thanks for the bug report @moski! That's a weird one, never seen it before but I have my guesses  Just played your game and just... Wow! Nice work with the art and audio and the menues and everything! Very impressed with your productivity!

Congrats on your game! I really liked the animation of the player! The dragging of the paperwork got annoying quite quickly ;)
I like the theme of your game and how it was almost all black, white and grey, although for me, the different stroke widths make it look less coherent. Maybe it is nice to put the 'click to grab papers when you have gold' hint somewhere here too, because that part took me way too long. ;)

Loved the concept, references, and to some point the design. The sound makes it cooler and the filling up of papers between levels is funny, although irritating after some time.

The mechanic of dragging paperwork is a great metaphor but a bit irritating as well. The bureaucrat idea was also nice, but the amount of paperwork escalates quickly and it gets annoying.

The game is thematically a great idea, and of course being irritating is part of it. I only believe the could be more balance between the reality similarity and the fun of the gameplay itself, but still liked to play it for some levels.
It's overall a very nice work. ^-^

Awesome game! Very nice touch of humor and sarcasm.
The graphics are impressive: the character is super well animated and I like the doodle effects on the background. I think the graphics are very coherent with the game.
The only problem I had while playing was my paperwork getting stuck behind a bureaucrat when I am carrying it.
Overall, excellent work. Congratulations!

Very funny! The graphics, sound and humor all work very well together. Maybe the gameplay is a little bit more lacking, but it kinda works with the theme anyway.
