Welcome to the HELLFEST

Survival Physic-based Rythm game

Please play the game on the stand-alone version as it provides a better experience.

Welcome to the Hellfest ! You play as Camille a Roadie for the band Kammtamer.

The main goal of the game is to bring beers to the singer. Each (non empty) beer you bring to the singer will inscrease your score.

Small warning: you can experience some performance issues, if you do, please launch the game in "Very High" instead of "Ultra", less beautiful but more stable.

Very nice idea, I was a fan since your first blogpost! I like the result, the atmosphere is metal af! The main character moves a bit slowly, I think with the game dynamics and music they should be able to move faster. Other than that I think the game is perfect  Nice job!

Hi Teo ! Thanks for you review. I think we have a little bug on the character movement on some computers. I will try to look at it :)

I made my best score by waiting cowardly near a wall 😆

Like Teo said, the character was a little bit slow, but also a slow acceleration making it dificult to predict his behavior.

After seeing you gameplay video, i can assure you i was walking way slower ^^
Nice entry overall tho.

Bravo !

Thanks you all for your feedback !!

@la-mecanique-du-plastique : pour le pogo on avait eu l'idée aussi mais pas le temps d'implémenter malheureusement ! ça fait plaisir de vous recroiser ici aussi :D !!

Really nice ! The music is really cool, it's even dubbed. A bit hard to move in this crowd, I guess, like in real life. Maybe it lack a bit of events, someone throwing up or something, I know it happens here. But nice game !

Well that was a nice moshpit. I wanted to mosh too in this game. xD
The 2.5D artstyle looks interesting. Like paper. But sometimes I was surrounded of too many guys.

HAHAHA! I think this game has an extreme factor of REALISM!!(not in the graphics, but in his poetry ..) Awesome idea.
I really got crazy when a hell-people-hurricane formed around me!

*The trick is still looking for the sidewall (sometimes!) :D

The main idea of the game was just epic ! And to play, it's pretty cool : i like the music and the graphic work fine
But I didn't really get the link to the theme and what incompatible think was mixed together but I was enough enjoying the music and the french voice when I give the beer , to not give really a fuck.
But when I get stuck between 3 or 4 guys (and sometimes only 1) it's really raging to lost "health" without any option to get out. It really appear after a wall of death mostly for me

But these was really cool ! To see everyone jump in the same time, evolve in a rythm really work, and the random pattern like wall of death or spiral (maybe a "pogo" will be great too, but I ask too much from a game jam game) made nearly an mesmerizing game.

Very nice submission! While playing the game I am just laughing the whole time because of how bad I am in the first run of the game, I kept on banging against the sprites, Loved it  ,great job guys!

Good idea and good game :)

The score was slowly going up. I would maybe prefer very slowly going down and lot more points for the beer to give an incentive to taking risks.

The crowd movements were particularily nice moments.

Mosh, under pressure! It felt a like the Mii's on the Wii were in a parappa the rapper goes metal game. Good stuff! I noticed the score kept going up after delivering a beer but stopped increasing after picking up a full glass? As someone who used to mosh in the pits I would love to see a mini game or bonus round where you get to go complete ape instead of going around. ;) Lovely graphics and metal! Well done!

Thanks for your feedbacks.

@R4ndomThunder What didn't you understand? But we take note of your remark and will try to fix the problem next time ;-)

@Mashas : You score points as long as you still have beer depending on the areas of difficulty and time (at the bar you win nothing, while the closer you get to the stage and the more points you earn). When you manage to bring beer to the singer, you earn points according to the amount of beer, for example a full beer will bring you 100 points.

(Sorry for my English)

Have fun!

@Mashas : Hi buddy, thanks for your feedback. At the beginning we wanted the player to be able to participate the circle pits and be able to score points holding a beer while in circle pit and things like that bu the time was running out so we prefered polishing what we already made instead of adding new features that could possibly break the game.

Super! J'ai toujours imaginé ça serait cool de faire un jeu dans un environment de concert. C'est comme si vous avez lit mes pensées et piqué mon idée par télépathie!

J'ai aussi fait une video avec votre jeu:

I really love the dynamic moshpit crowd stuff, and the music is spot on. My one big wish is that I could just chill out on the beer gathering and mosh with the others for a bit.

Super ! L'ambiance est vraiment réussie, on se retrouve à se demander comment il est possible de survivre à la traversée de la foule (en tout cas de mon coté, l'aventure s'est terminée très rapidement la première fois haha)
Bien joué !
