You man a planet cannon build by man to destroy planets and planet cannons manned by man. Now it's your time to put all your manly math skills to use and calculate the perfect shot through all the gravity or you know just shoot away, something always gonna hit, pew pew!

The goal is to destroy your opponent's planet before he destroys yours. It shares a good amount of resemblance to the Worms games but because each planet's gravity affects your projectiles it can get real tricky, especially because your projectiles can come back and you might shot yourself. The game has a wide array of settings that allows you to generate your own solar system as well as play with the physics.

Awesome game. The graphics are great, (I love how the rest of the planets go to the sun), the control is easy, the physics are very natural. I really like the possibility of changing the options (reload time, physics.. the random feature is great). I enjoyed a lot and it is the kind of game that you can play with a friend for hours. Very good work.

I only miss a "vs npc" game mode.

The mood, art style and physics are really well made. Although I couldn't play it properly, since the original version is co-op only, I know it must be fun to play. I think the planets could have some detail, like textures and/or shadows to match the realist sun and stars.

Whoa so much juicey goodness! Love all the effects, and the concept is simple but super fun! Love the suuuper loud booms and it's just so pretty (before you blow it all up)

Nice game! I liked the art and FXs, sound was great too. Being able to tweak everything is also a nice addition to the game.

Ok, hear me out, playing this game made me feel trashy Gamedev-wise. why ? because if i could describe this game in one word ... I would say it's Classy. So I look upon my trashy game library and my trashy entries in LD and don't feel so good about it (comparatively). But... I also feel a little more classy myself. See, this game is a nice case study (for me ) and example of a classy game . So, I feel compelled to make classier games from now on, and also stop being such a kiss-ass. ;P pd: loved the game.

Great Graphics, awesome physics. I would love to see this for even more than two players in a large galaxy with multiple solar systems.

1. I don't know if there is an instruction for it ingame, but I only saw the setup screen when accidently pressed esc to exit the game.

It is way too much awesome to be hidden. I was already liking your game before it, but when I saw it, okay, I gotta say: this is by far the best "game idea" I have seen in this Ludum Dare, light years ahead of anything else.

Surely there are other amazing games, but they are mostly funny concepts and ideas that wouldn't hold up well in an actual game. This over here is exactly on the other side.

-

On the negative side, the UI got severely clustered on the "configs/randomize" screen, with overlapping text.

-

I can't tell you enough how much I enjoyed your game. Truly amazing concept and execution. 10/10.

PS: This review is about the version 2. The scores will be for the version 1 and almost the same.

Oh, and I don't know exactly why and if this is the correct reprodution, but it seems like if I shoot twice behind me (aiming rear), my two bullets can collide/explode and throw my "circular body" mesh far away from my turret. The game keeps going on though.

Sweeeet game! I loved it, SO MANY CUSTOMIZATION OPTIONS THOUGH!! I spent too long customizing the best battle ever XD

Love it can't wait to see where it goes from here!

A very good entry. Number of possible settings is uncanny, and I almost missed it because I didn't want to pause it with Esc. XD

The game my team made during this jam is based on a quite similar idea, so I really appreciate your gravity simulation :). Anyway, I think the environment is a little bit too static, and after getting rid of all the minor planets it all comes down to just finding one angle and shooting cannons as fast as possible. I couldn't play with a living person though, so I just guess it's not an issue when playing with friends. I guess it's also the reason why there's no mouse controls; they would make it a lot easier to control the gun. By the way, it's great there's an AI in this game.

Congrats!

Loved the sounds & destruction effects - very ... effective! Felt good to blow up things.
Jam version was only coop, so a bit hard to test for excitement.

I had a lot of fun with this. Nothing like a gravity physics toy with destructible terrain. Really pretty, too. I found myself playing with this for quite a while. I think it's quite a solid entry.

Very cool! Quite a lot of nuance without being too complex. Honestly the ability to defend by being able to shoot down incoming shots really takes this from 'fun spammy gravity artillery game' to 'tricky tactical skill game'. Great work

The game itself is fun, but it is even more fun after tweaking the game settings, really love how much freedom the game lets you have in terms of setting up the game!

Fun game with some satisfying destruction effects! I had a lot of trouble playing it, though, because it tended to hang for long periods to the point of becoming unplayable. Excellent use of the theme, though!

I had to play this game against myself but even so I found it almost as hard to hit the other player as it was easy to hit myself. So I wonder if there should have been something more to the controls or help like seeing the expected trajectory before firing or so to make it work easier for unskilled players.

It could probably also work really well on a pad with touch controls!

Nice entry.

Brilliant.
It's extremly satisfying to see the planets and your opponent explode.

I got very good at destroying myself, and then I called my partner over who helped me destroy meself again. My manly math skills were not up to the test!

Super nice looking game, and the physics feel really good too. Very juicy visual and sound effects, it all comes together well. Proper digging the minimalist planets with all these lovely effects pinging all over the place when in full combat. Nice choices of colours too!

I would have appreciated an intro screen with the controls on, or perhaps a quick note on this or the itch page. I only figured it out after a bit of frustrated prodding, and then afterwards finding that amazing menu with all those options. It was a pleasant surprise in that respect, but it seem a shame it could be easily missed!

Great enrty! :)
