Your writing was pretty good, and I liked the illustrations for things. I don't know if it was intentional or you just ran out of time but I like that you didn't have an illustration for the sacrifice beast it lets players like me imagine it being some otherworldly horror rather than force us to see it as whatever it was you imagine it as. I don't know much about Twine as a engine but if at all possible I wish there had been somekind of background noise or a sound when a sacrafice was made if for nothing more then to help add to the the theater of the mind effect.

@theseusinabottle Thank you so much for your feedback! I kind of ran out of time when doing the sound or I probably would have added a lot more sound and music, and yeah, leaving the beast's illustration out of it was intentional in that way.
Thanks so much for playing and I'm glad you enjoyed it!

This is really cool! I had to stop halfway through, but I really like what you've done.

yeah! Glad you were able to jump in after all.

Have been considering a 'text style adventure' from a bit ago. Might be something I'll try some time!

@foodzilla If you do make a text adventure, I highly recommend Twine if you're not trying for a really specific aesthetic. It's a great utility and very customizable.

Been thinking about that very thing! I had never heard of Twine, so I'm curious. I'll mess around with it to see what it can do.

Nice to see another text adventure out there. Good job, and twine seems pretty interesting for a toolset, I really liked being able to save. Are there multiple endings? Like with all Choose Your Own Adventure stories, there were some grammatical inconsistencies (I had only lost one companion and it referenced "All My Lost Companions").

But over all, cool drawings, interesting audio choices, and a fun story overall. Great entry

A pretty interesting and well told story. I love the idea with music/sound effects in a text adventure. Well done.

Pretty brutal for text adventure game. I really like the sounds as they add a lot to the experience. Theme is utilized well and sacrifices has to be made. I'm not quite sure if I made the correct sacrifices. That could take multiple plays. I ended up dying after the gates. Overall pretty solid entry.

@keppu Thanks! I'm glad you liked it. After the gates is when it all unravels if you don't have all 5 medallions

The writing was pretty good, the sounds however were a bit unsuitable in my opinion. I was expecting some creepy tunes as soon as the monster appeared. The scene when entering the central gate was however creepy when suddenly everything went silent. The theme was definitly there and also some effort has been made to these illustrations. The story itself reminded me of "Relic" from Preston & Child. Overall a pretty solid entry, thank you for making this. :-)

Well, I did play through the game and the story was interesting enough for me to think about the game afterwards. Quite the immersive experience, it felt like I had an impact when choosing which character I sacrificed and I figured I should keep Kevin alive to be able to transcribe the runes.

However, I was confused why I lost because I did get through the central gate and met the Beast and tried to take a photograph. My only reamining options was to sacrifice everyone, it seemed impossible to avoid sacrificing yourself so that's what I did and then the game ended and restarted. I guess I might try to explore a few other options and see if your actions actually matter :p

Good effort on this game, with a few more options and maybe a voice reading the story I think this would be a great game.

**EDIT**: I did play through a few other scenarios and always got the same outcome, even though I managed to keep all 5 of the explorers alive.

Hey I played this on stream it was really fun!

The story and atmosphere was amazing, and oh man - The guitar riff when the beast comes was insanely scary :open_mouth:

It's very well made, and the pictures were not too intrusive and just added to the text adventure experience.

One thing I would add would be a couple of more actions to choose between the 5 people, mostly it just boiled down to 2 actions even though there were 5 people with 5 potential outcomes (Probably scope) :yum:

For longer term, the story could be easily expanded to have creepier consequences for your sacrifices - Showing dismembered parts of fellow team members for example..

Either way, honestly a pleasure to play, from my team at [Whales and Games](https://discordapp.com/invite/whalesandgames) thank you for a great experience!

@ponchoguy Thanks so much for playing! I watched your stream video and I'm happy to award you a win in this case. The only reason you didn't is because the game's ending is broken :P
Thanks again for playing and for your excellent feedback!
