On Demand: Power by Procok
This game was made in roughly 30 hours and it was my first Ludum Dare, I think I did my best.
You control a robot who is trying to survive the attack of the evil robots. You have to manage you power(energy) and armor(health) to achieve more wave clears.
Big thanks to my friend who play-tested the game.
The game was made in Unity, I used Gimp for sprites, Bosca Ceoil for music and SFXR for effects.
I see now that I have to improve my skill mostly in modelling (because I couldn't do it for this game). Hope you like it. And also this is the worst code I have ever produced;

Except for the granade/rifle pickups... I mean you had the models XD
I wouldn't care seeing you just pick them out without animation :P
Overall it was really fun!
The enemies were all same graphics which was kinda funny dunno why but the AI was really nice and fun to play against! I'm not so strong in unity's AI so I don't if it's a lot of work but the outcome was really good.
The gunplay itself was awesome! good job
Weaker points were the theme and doing something more innovative but really by itself it's a pretty cute game =]

Pros: You have good graphics and sound.
Cons: Its really hard to navigate "wasd" when the player does not go wherever its pointing. I guess that may just be me.
The weapon variations are really fun to play around with. My only concern is that my grenades don't blow up boxes ;P
Good work!
I'll start with things I liked:
- gameplay is nice. Shooting, player and camera movement was good,
- I liked movable boxes. Adds tactics to the game,
- For how much effort you've put into models, from that perspective everything looks nice,
- I like how grass looks. Fits with everything else.
Now for some things to fix/improve:
- For some reason I couldn't buy a shotgun that costs 5 even though I had 5$. I could buy armor for 4 though,
- I'm not sure but I think you can't kill crates with grenades, but you can push them. Seems wierd to me,
- It's hard to find enemies. Maybe add some arrows at edge of the screen indicating direction. Decrease
transparency with distance.
- I wish there was ammo dropping from sky, just like crates or some other way so that I don't end up with no ammo
and have to restart
I'm sure you wanted to include all those things I've listed and many more, but I know how time flies by. Hey! Your game at least has music in it ;) Cheers!
The controls seemed a little unconventional to me, but I picked them up quickly. The thing that bugged me the most was the gun names in white text on a light background - I had a really hard time reading them.
Congratulations on completing your first Ludum Dare!
