Destroy Blocks by D-Studios
Instructions: Destroy as many blocks as you can in 60 seconds!
How to Play: Arrow keys=move W=look up S=look down z=toggle gravity Space=jump x=destroy blocks
This game uses the theme because you are in a "small world" and you destroy blocks in the world.
This is my second Ludum Dare!
P.S. Note that this game has lagging issues and the music cuts in and out because I am bad at recording music. The type of computer you have is not responsible for these issues!

Answers to some of your questions:
*This fits the theme because the world you are in a "small world". I got inspired from Minecraft a little bit when I saw the "Generating World" loading bar. Therefore, this kind of indirectly fits with the theme.
*Also, when you say the sound doesn't work, do you mean it won't play at all on your computer? Note that I hastily made the music and didn't have time to properly clean it(I am a total noob at creating music).
Thanks for playing!
Here's a good video to watch about game jams and how to polish a game. Hopefully it has some useful tips for you.

Anyways, great work on the game and congratulations!
- I think the controls are a little unintuitive. Perhaps mouse camera control would have made it more satisfying.
- It was a little strange that I could look up and down, but I couldn't look left or right. I think maybe using A and D to look left and right would give the player more control.
-This was probably just on my end, but I had some pretty significant performance issues, with respect to framerate and lagging. Again, this might just be my computer's fault.
What I liked a lot:
- The music was cool. It cut in and out now and then, probably due to my computer's poor performance, but I think it fit the aesthetic of the game.
- The art was simple but consistent. It was interesting to look at. Sort of surrealist, idk but I liked it.
- I really like that you can toggle gravity. It made it a lot more fun to fly around and destroy blocks.
Nice job. Another commenter mentioned that this was your first Ludum Dare. If that's the case, great work and welcome!

@tyranosaw Thanks for the links by the way!

I made my first game with Stencyl and this game with Unity.
This was just some tips for improvement your little game! I know it's difficult to make a game in a weekend! Like I said this was my second ludum dare too! NICE JOB and keep improvement! I look forward to seeing the improved version of this game and your next ludum dare entry!
The art was all blocks, so it's hard to really judge. Plenty of contrast between the dark grey and green blocks, and the music made it all feel weird and surreal.
1. some explosion/effect when you destroy a block (explosions are cool!)
2. some physics when you destroy a block so blocks on top of it would fall down?
My suggestion would be to spend some more time tweaking this game, its controls and the core gameplay loop some more until it feels really good.
Keep at it and see you next LD!
The nonstandard controls were a bit weird... And the inability to turn was awkward, but it's nice that you had touches like the highscore and stuff, made me want to do extra runs after I lost the first time.
* The game is really laggy. I don't know how you would fix this, but it makes the game a lot less enjoyable.
* The controls are somewhat unintuitive, and it feels odd not being able to turn. I think it would work better with WASD to move, mouse to aim, and Left Click to break blocks.
* The concept seems fairly dull and is barely related to the theme. I would have liked some more flavour even if the gameplay was just as simple. Perhaps the blocks could be bad guys you need to stop, or maybe you're a cleaner who needs to get rid of some debris. I don't know, just something to make the game feel like more than just cubes.
EDIT: Also, even though there were some problems with the playback, I like that you actually recorded real audio for the music. I've never done anything other than procedurally-generated music, so kudos to you for making it yourself.
Things I liked:
1. Fun concept
2. Good interpretation of the theme
3. Bright atmosphere
Things to work on:
1. No reason why performance should have been this poor. Loading was also surprisingly slow.
2. Controls were a little difficult to use, especially for navigation.
3. Relatively simply graphics and sound - even for this style, some minor details could have added a lot, like particles.
1. Less lag, like everyone's talking about.
2. Better controls. I didn't quite understand why there weren't any controls to look sideways. A simple 'A' and 'D' to look around or the classic mouse control would have been nice.
3. Some danger features to make the game more intense. Maybe monsters, or a higher point block that is positioned in a hard to get place so that it's a risk for more points. However, if the calm peaceful mood is what you are aiming for, this suggestion wouldn't quite fit in.
