Great concept overall, though I was expecting more of a mixture in gameplay of several genres, though this was the gameplay of a rhythm game in a fishing/cooking setting. All in all the game itself is fun to play and definitely something to consider developing further.

This game looks very good. I'm not sure why I had to swim around, but the rhythm part works very well.

Very simple, but it works. The UI for indicating the rhythm beat is a little unintuitive -- my first instinct is to hit the button as the circle lines up with the outer rim (but the outer rim is actually marking the earliest you can hit -- it's a range). That's probably my main complaint. I guess the music could have been a bit more interesting too.

This is so cute! It took me a little bit to get the hang of it, but having to swim around while also doing the rhythm bits is definitely an interesting mechanic. In retrospect it's a little macabre that you're a fish tempting other fish to their doom. I'm not sure the filet-sorting part added very much, but I can easily imagine a more nuanced cooking mechanic in that place if you weren't on a jam deadline. Cool idea and good job!

Cute game! Took me a second to understand what was going on, but beyond that the gameplay loop is actually very fun. Coordinating fish movement with the rhythm was tricky but in a good way. Reminds me a bit of ridiculous fishing too.

Very cute game. I didn't realize that I could move the hook around until my third try. My best score was 1246. The fishing and cooking animations seemed to be very fluid, and the art style was nice and colorful. I think there are many ways that this game could be expanded, such as adding additional note buttons.

Awesome! The fish model is the epitome of programmer art. I love it!

I got the hang of the game pretty quickly, and the game works very well in general. The sound and graphical effect when you miss a tone work very well and there's no doubt you misclicked. My problem is there's not really too much strategy involved, or like, any high-level mechanics. Once you've played the game for 2-3 minutes you've mastered it. If I knew what the upcoming notes would be I could start moving to an area with fish of the matching color. I'm not entirely sure how you would add that feature, but I'm sure you can find a way. Add a minimap as well and you have something that is easy to learn but requires skill, and not just RNG, to get highscores.

Either way, good job, especially for just a compo game. Good luck next game jam! :)

I could see this expanded to a DDR style (with WASD) and various different aspects being tweaked even further to make a super crazy fun rhythmic fishing game. Great work and a very nice idea :)
