You are a castaway trying to survive on an mysterious island where it seems that you are not alone. Recolect resources during the day and surive the threats of the night. Try not to get crazy. Try not to starve.

  • Click on the forest or the beach to recolect resources durign the day
  • Click on the fire or the player to consume resources and keep your hunger and sanity during the night

Post Ludum Dare version

As some of you have said, the design is very basic. We're both programmers, so this thime we wanted to focus in other aspects like desing, music and art. But at the end we got stuck with the desing, and we weren't happy with the result. So we decided to take your feedback and try to fix a little the desing. We added a new action posible: "Built Raft", that consumes wood. This way you have a little more how to spend your resources, and the game ends when you finish the raft to escape from the island.

You can play both versions on itch.io

I like the graphics, but the gameplay was a bit too simple. I kept feeling like I was missing something, or accidentally advancing the time.

(EDIT : 404 error fixed)

Lovely pixel art & sounds track! I like the character idle, the fire effect and the small eyes in the dark. It gives a great atmosphere to the game. It could be imho improved by making more obvious the objects you can interact with, for instance with a small white line blinking around clickable objects. The game play is sadly too simple to make it fun for long, but it's overally a great experience  Great entry, keep up the good work :rocket:

I'm not entirely sure how this qualifies as much of a game, to be honest. Since there's no skill in clicking involved -- you can't click faster or more precisely -- and your choices impact the outcome only extremely minimally, there's just not much to do. The graphics are nice though, I guess.

It was a good game and I liked the concept, I just wish there was more to do.

Nice little experience. I love the details of the pixel art.
The gameplay could be improved with some puzzles or point and click adventure elements :)

I loved the graphics but as previously mentioned there wasn't much more to do besides clicking on things. Maybe if there were more variables involved or it was made longer it would've been more fun! But i think the mood was created well with the graphics and music

Good game, I love the atmosphere of the game, with the frightening night. Graphics are cool, the eyes in the forest at night are great ! I didn't understand how to interact at first, maybe you could have improved that. The idea is good : make provisions during the day to survive at nightn but the game is too simple, 2 parties are all it takes too understand how to win. Good work on the sounds too !

Well, suposing this is one of your first games I have to say that I love the aesthetics and the overall idea. Maybe it could be better to move the chacarter to get the resources but it looks well. Nice work, good luck!

The graphics are great and really create a certain feeling. The gameplay is a bit simple though. Still good job!

There isn't a way to win... Didn't enjoy that aspect. Gathering resources seemed to be a bit limited.

I survived but i think that was a bug as my food had just run out, but might have been convenient timing. I liked the atmosphere but i would liked some more mechanic than 1 click a day/night. Was fun for a bit so good job.

I tried several times but didn't succeed to win, one resource per day? I don't really understand the gameplay mechanism as you always have to instant use the resource you just collected.

I really loved the pixel art and sound ambient, it works very well to put a special mood to the game :)

So yes, try to think about more mechanisms for the survival, but you have a good start!

I loved the look of the game. I just wish there was a little more depth to the gameplay.

Nice ambience and nice graphics! I feel that the game has a great base, but it needs some more complexity to make it really interesting! Adding more resources, being able to pickup more things, maybe even crafting, would be great! Overall, it's a very promising base :)

Keep up the good work!

Woah, how hash! Is this a take on how difficult surviving is in isolation? :)

Great atmosphere.

Nice little game. The graphics, animation and mood made it a good experience. I think it still misses some things, I would like to see this game in a post-jam version.

Excellent graphics, good job! It would have been better if there were a few more mechanics, but the graphics did a good job of setting the ominous mood.

Cool ambience ! More interactions would be fun, it's a little bit like "Gods will be watching" but you need more than two choices to make gameplay interesting ! Really nice for a first ld entry :)

Do not know how, but I survived. Art is good, but gameplay is a little poor. Maybe more choices with the materials (more choices on day : multiple resources of each kind, but more or less risquy to get, and more choices on night : multiple ways to use resources, but more or less efficient). Good job anyway, I'm not the one who will blame you, as I didn't even manage to add sound on my entry ;)

Art was great, Gameplay is really unbalanced.

You can just keep collecting food and build the raft and win before the go hungry/insane.

I liked the graphics and the audio, those are really good and you delivered a wonderful mood! Gameplay wise it's lacking but you already heard that.
Add more possibilities and mechanics to the game - you got a good base to start from.
Still a good job!

Cool game with good graphics and good ambiance. However it was a bit hard playing it, not knowing what you could do. Also the gameplay is a bit simple, I would have liked that the player moove and loose a bit of his "hungry" bar doing that / doing each actions ! However, good game that you could improve easily by adding more actions :)

Really adorable and moody graphics! But unfortunately not much to do in your game and to easy to win :/

Didn't really understand what my goal was the first time. Figured I'd have to definitely balance the fire + food + making the raft, but turns out that focusing on raft only was surefire way to survive. Probably needs a bit of risk/reward, or more actions/day + more punishment/night. Cute art and nice atmospheric music.

It's awesome to see more games being made with Godot! I think this could make for a pretty cool game if you added more actions to do and a lot of random events that could happen through the day / night.
