Purr-suasion by Raziyya
Well there goes my first Ludum Dare!!
Didn't expect to make a game about herding cats but it just kind of happened. The more cats there are the harder it gets.
So much I would have loved to have added, but I am just happy that I managed to complete a whole game in 48 hours.
Please leave some considerate but honest feedback below.
How to play:
Use your mouse to chase the cats into the pen. Don't let any run off the screen though or they'll be lost for ever!!!
Made a small fix post compo to stop the music starting muted.

That was so fun/infuriating. Luckily I didn't lose any cats :relieved:.
## Suggestions
Your next game should be about putting cats back in a bag . I thought it would be interesting if their were hazards in the levels that don't just block the cats, but can harm them. So, your goal is to not only keep them from getting lost, but also from getting hurt.
That's just an idea, though. I don't know how that would actually work out. Nice work, though!
Easy little game. The music and SFX sliders were all the way down by default. I enjoyed playing your game. Well done!
I didn't rate you on Audio, as I didn't get any...? You might want to opt out of that category if there isn't any
All of your levels are iterations on the same theme, but as I said - that basic mechanic is **really fun**, and I don't see any reason why you couldn't expand on this with the ideas you felt you didn't have time for.
Turns out herding cats gets a bad rep for no reason!
edit: Oh, I've just noticed this is your first LD entry?
Extra Kudos on that, its a really solid first attempt!
I played it with sound at 100%. Perfect on title screen ! :smile_cat:
The music is annoying at the end, too much repetitive but the game is really fun to play.
That said, there are two quick things that I think would immediately make it better / more amusing: (1) I would have loved it if the cats would meow (normally or in weird and funny ways) (2) it would be nice to have a level number in the level itself so I could know which level I was on.
Good job and feel free to check out my entry :)
I will of course take a look at your game :)
Great entry, love the sound and style =). Or, maybe I just love cats.
Difficulty curve was a little low, I don't think I lost a single cat before getting through all of the levels, would have enjoyed failing and needing to retry a couple of them.
I love the music, it's really catchy! The cats are a bit too twitchy and the difficulty could have been a bit higher towards the end. The title screen is a really cool idea! Good job and congrats on your firs LD!
Also, I peeked at your code a bit...
To fix the audio starting at zero bug:
return PlayerPrefs.GetFloat(MUSIC_VOLUME_KEY__, 1__); //(PlayerPrefsManager: 25) This will set a default value to 1, if the value has not been saved before (haven't tested it, but should fix it). I think this might fall under the category of Certain Bug Fixes in the [Ludum Dare Rules](http://ludumdare.com/compo/rules/).
By the way, the reason why your cats are so twitchy is because you basically reset the velocity every frame. Multiply Cat:57 by Time.deltaTime, to change that.
Thank you very much. I actually quite like that the cats are twitchy. To me it makes them act more cat like compared to the super smooth sheep in your game. It also adds a little bit of difficulty to a game than would otherwise be trivial. I was definitely to cautious about making the game too hard :/
Really appreciate you looking through my code as I haven't had a chance to yet. Yes I think I will fix that and resubmit. Not adding extra features so I should be safe. I'm curious to look through your code actually :D
I like the short music you have there btw
Well done!
