Loved the intro with the scroll explaining the rules, unfortunately i can't comment on anything else as I got stuck there! Maybe an issue with the web version?

@megan-kozun You need to press ESC (escape) to exit the intro and start playing.
Web version seems to work in both google chrome and microsoft edge, both on windows. MacOS version works on mac, but I don't know if the web version works on mac.

OH okay haha I would just suggest maybe putting that in the instruction scroll (unless i missed it completely --- totally possible).

Love the idea and graphics on this! My only suggestion would be some adjustments to the movement. I was constantly sliding way past where I wanted to go so it made navigating the maze a bit difficult. Overall very nice!

I like the idea! Just a tip, if you set the sprites to "Point" filter in their settings in Unity, they'll be a lot more crisp.

Thanks for the tip @zeaga! I'd like to draw my own sprites next time so this will be good to know!

I liked the scroll in the beginning as well! Did you enjoy using Unity? For your first Unity game with no experience, this is a good job. Good concept as well.

So it's a king of the hill game+auction? Interesting! I wonder how you can reward the player more for winning the auction. Maybe the king of the hill can impede other people's progress in some way. Good first attempt though!

Nice job! I like the idea, the music is pleasing as well:)
If I may make a small suggest: it's really easy to change the background color to something not default in the camera object, and you can easily loop the music by setting it to loop on the audio source. Keep it up:)

Nice maze to walk by!(but the standard blue background made it strange at first) When I entered the hill I didn't undestant immediately what to do, though and also at the beginning it wasn't clear I had to hit esc to begin. Keep up the good work!

Great effort on your first project! The idea is really interesting and I think it would be a fun multiplayer game if you decided to expand upon the idea. I played a few times (took me twice to find the altar). It would be nice if the auction screen wasn't time based as it disappeared before I could read the instructions.

Thanks for rating our game!

nice game, especially considering you had no previous experience. keep it up! the intro was really cool :) i'd also add a text to the intro, telling players to press ESC to skip it ;)

Great first entry! I wasn't sure how to decide how much to spend. Probably plays much better as split-screen party game than 1 player vs AI.

Good work, yes maybe a hint how to start the game would be helpful, took me a moment (especially since ESC closes fullscreen when playing the web version ). Good first entry!

Thanks @plexsoup! Ryan had the same idea but I didn't know how to make it happen. From what I understand, most participants are playing alone online. Have you seen a solution to this?

@longbowrocks I don't have enough Unity experience to give any implementation advice. I do most of my work in Godot. (even in Godot I haven't mastered split-screen yet.)

Interesting mechanic being able to place your opponent, but besides that I don't really get it. I think the most important thing to work on here is controls, they are far too slidey and dont really feel good, so I would focus on that during your next jam.
