The game felt polished, but a little short (better than the other way around). I really liked the audio; both the background music and the text-sounds were highlights. For whatever reason I kept noticing the words start to appear on a line, and then jump down to the next. It was a bit distracting, but it also made me wonder if the text placement is dynamic based on screen size or something. I also liked the story, and how the characters kept popping in throughout the game.\n\nThe game felt very peaceful, and I would love to play longer and with more levels. I was surprised that crashing into the Sun was the objective. I liked the outro, and like the particle effects of the black hole. Additionally, since I'm new to Unity, I was amazing at how you could almost have a cutscene with the characters\/music at the end. I had a lot of fun, and both endings were pretty sweet. Though, you should adjust it so that, if you choose to keep playing after the normal ending, it still lets you trigger the secret ending. Though, what happens now (you just push the Sun off the map) is pretty amusing too.\n\nFor my second play through, I decided to try to crash directly into the sun without having grown above size 5; for some reason, as soon as I touched the sun, my population stopped dying and I could do whatever I wanted without ever dipping below ~4 billion. Probably a bug, but I actually kind of like it if it' an easter egg.\n\nAnyway all that aside, this feels like a Jam entry from a multi-person team, not a solo Compo entry. The fact that you got this made in 48 hours is super cool. I'll echo the requests from @camilo, I'd love to see additional levels for this.\n\nEDIT: Actually I think what happened in my first play through was that I knocked some of the asteroids or moons on a trajectory out of bounds, so when I was done with the 'normal' path, collected everything left on the map and flew into the Sun, I still wasn't big enough. Might want to add a bounding box to keep things from flying off into space. Or not, maybe it's cool that that happens.","likes":1,"format":"md"}],"format":"md","images":["ld38\/19035-14db6e36b34ca01efb93797f4e35dee9.png"],"links":[],"metadata":{"g_key":"52145","g_author":"1008624","g_event":"LD38","g_eventkey":"69","g_subevent":"COMPO","g_urlkey":"238816","g_title":"Dr. M Little's Planet Mass Overdrive","g_status":"USEAR3","g_place":"127","g_commentcount":"39","g_site2_node_id":"19035","g_hide":"Y","g_has_icon":"Y","g_rqueue":"0","g_random":"0"},"nds":{"n_key":"19035","n_urlkey":"238816","n_parent":"9405","n_path":"\/events\/ludum-dare\/38\/dr-m-littles-planet-mass-overdrive","n_slug":"dr-m-littles-planet-mass-overd","n_type":"item","n_subtype":"game","n_subsubtype":"compo","n_author":"8624","n_created":"1492822727","n_modified":"1493610582","n_version":"72825","n_status":"COMMIT"},"node":{"id":19035,"parent":9405,"superparent":9,"author":8624,"type":"item","subtype":"game","subsubtype":"compo","published":"2017-04-24T00:59:23Z","created":"2017-04-22T00:58:47Z","modified":"2017-05-01T03:49:42Z","version":72825,"slug":"dr-m-littles-planet-mass-overdrive","name":"Dr. M Little's Planet Mass Overdrive","body":"![Titleoverdrive6.png](\/\/\/raw\/0b1\/2\/z\/b7a.png)\n\n\n**Dr. M Little's Planet Mass Overdrive**\n\n-------------------------------------------------------\n**SCREENSHOTS:**\n\n![1.png](\/\/\/raw\/0b1\/2\/z\/bdc.png)\n\n![2.png](\/\/\/raw\/0b1\/2\/z\/bdf.png)\n\n![3.png](\/\/\/raw\/0b1\/2\/z\/be1.png)\n\n-------------------------------------------------------\n\n**DISASTER HAS STRUCK!**\n\nDR. LITTLE REALIZES THIS MAY HAVE PRESENTED HIM WITH AN ENTICING OPPORTUNITY HE WILL NEVER GET AGAIN...\n\n-------------------------------------------------------\n\n**SUMMARY:**\n\nDr. M Little's Planet Mass Overdrive is a game inspired by the Katamari series. You start as a very small planet, and attempt to get larger, while also maneuvering your way back into a habitable temperature range.\n\nThis is my second Ludum Dare entry, and was completed over the course of roughly 14 hours (thank goodness for weekends). \n\nAny and all feedback is welcome, and I'd love to see what sort of shapes you all make with the planets! :)\n\n-------------------------------------------------------\n\n**CONTROLS:**\n\nMove the mouse in the direction that you want to apply thrust.\nClick and hold to set the power.\nRelease to launch the planet.\n\n-------------------------------------------------------\n\n**TIPS:**\n\n- Using the thruster and colliding into objects kill off a chunk of your population- make sure to keep that in mind!\n\n- Don't worry about getting into the correct temperature range until you've accumulated enough mass.\n\n- There are three asteroid belts in the system that are a great source of size!\n\n- Don't approach the 'Goldilocks Zone' too quickly! If you overshoot it you'll have to try and get into position again.\n\n-------------------------------------------------------\n\n**DOWNLOADS:**\n\n[PC DOWNLOAD](https:\/\/drive.google.com\/uc?export=download&id=0B2copOY9Un7MbDJQQTBxd3lhQ0E)\n\n[MAC DOWNLOAD](https:\/\/drive.google.com\/uc?export=download&id=0B2copOY9Un7MNERWSE9PeUpnd1k)\n\n\nSOURCE: https:\/\/github.com\/slimabob\/LD38\n\n\n(Can you find the secret ending?)","meta":{"cover":"\/\/\/content\/0b1\/2\/z\/2fd0.png","author":[8624]},"path":"\/events\/ludum-dare\/38\/dr-m-littles-planet-mass-overdrive","parents":[1,5,9,9405],"love":0,"notes":39,"notes-timestamp":"2017-05-03T06:50:05Z","grade":{"grade-01":38,"grade-02":38,"grade-03":37,"grade-04":37,"grade-05":37,"grade-06":36,"grade-07":37,"grade-08":35},"magic":{"cool":69.593143160177,"feedback":56,"given":17.375,"grade":36.875,"grade-01-average":3.694,"grade-01-result":127,"grade-02-average":3.778,"grade-02-result":70,"grade-03-average":3.2,"grade-03-result":250,"grade-04-average":3.657,"grade-04-result":173,"grade-05-average":3.571,"grade-05-result":191,"grade-06-average":3.412,"grade-06-result":125,"grade-07-average":4.143,"grade-07-result":16,"grade-08-average":3.576,"grade-08-result":119,"smart":-0.54645217797949}},"text":"![Titleoverdrive6.png](\/\/\/raw\/0b1\/2\/z\/b7a.png)\n\n\n**Dr. M Little's Planet Mass Overdrive**\n\n-------------------------------------------------------\n**SCREENSHOTS:**\n\n![1.png](\/\/\/raw\/0b1\/2\/z\/bdc.png)\n\n![2.png](\/\/\/raw\/0b1\/2\/z\/bdf.png)\n\n![3.png](\/\/\/raw\/0b1\/2\/z\/be1.png)\n\n-------------------------------------------------------\n\n**DISASTER HAS STRUCK!**\n\nDR.
