The art for this game was really good and I thought the gameplay was quite fun too (I like how the gun launches you so far). I couldn't figure out what to do for the boss level and I noticed there wasn't any draining power in the last two levels that I played (although I think it was in the first couple). I also found it hard sometimes to tell if a block was something I could collide with or if it was something that was in the background.

Overall, quite good! Motion in the game didn't feel intrinsically good, but the art style was nice and cohesive. Good call giving 20 lives, and having a fast respawn instead of dragging out deaths with a long animation. Good job!

Very nice game! I really like the artstyle and the general mood of the game. The levels are nice and engaging. I couldnt find a way to finish the boss level though.

Really nice retro-styled game, with awesome looking graphics and sounds. Definitely realizes Ludum Dare theme in a very nice way. The best game that I have yet played, it is just awesome.

Nice graphics and sound, and really fun gameplay. Couldn't defeat the boss.
Good job!

Really awesome idea, visuals, and audio. Has a lot of potential. Could tell there were some concepts you didn't get to implement. The last boss level was really confusing as well, there was no feedback for whether you were actually doing damage to the monster. There wasn't really an indication of what to do. Really enjoyed it, though, great entry!

Good game! It's a really fun idea and also very challenging to control the player. The overal feeling of this 8bit game is just perfect. ;D

Super idea! I like the thrust physics and that you give the player enough power to play around.

Neat little throwback! The music really fits the space setting, and the scene transitions really nail the look and feel of the NES era. Great job getting the NES style down! The physics were well done, and worked great within the puzzles. A little out of control, but fun to overcome! The game-play reminds me a bit of Flywrench.

My only main gripe is the boss fight. The boss really hurt the overall package, I couldn't tell I was even hurting the thing. It really needed a hurt sound, or at least a hurt flash, to indicate to the player you're doing something. I thought the boss was invulnerable at first, until I ran out of options to go and decided to shoot at it until something happened.

Other then the boss fight, it's a solid and well designed puzzle game! Great work!

Great work, this is such fun gameplay! I love the way things spiral out of control once you make a mistake and are frantically trying to correct! First using the gun was a great moment- great entry!!

The controls are precise to the point of being unusual, but ultimately fair. Direct visual feedback is a good learning tool. I had a blast seeing how far I could get.

Recharging power while not thrusting creates fun moments of risk-and-reward. The game would also be very unforgiving without this feature, so it's an important detail.

What's more, the game is very consistent with its aesthetic while having variety in the layouts - even going the extra steps to set a mood. It's a game that knows what it wants to be, and I appreciate that.

All around one of the more impressive entries!

The graphics made me install this. This really nails the nes-era style! I liked the details which added to the atmosphere (like for instance dead astronauts floating around).

Gameplay wasn't particularly difficult, but controlling the jetpack felt like a chore. Then again, it also added to the feeling of truly being helpless in the vacuum of space.

My only real nagging is about the boss: I really didn't know if I made progress by shooting it or not.

Anyway, two thumbs up!

Very like the simple graphical style and the musics ! Pretty calm so there is a good mood. Simple idea but I had fun on it ! Great job !

The jetpack was a little hard to control, especially in cramped areas. Overall, however, the game isn't bad.

Great graphics and ideas: (all these dead astronauts were scary)

Still, I don't really liked the gameplay in itself, it's quite slowpaced and the player is quite difficult to control properly (that was the objective i guess...);
Others seems to appreciate, but well, it's not my cup of tea.

Great entry otherwise!

Loved the retro style art. The controls are difficult but fair, if I miss it's always my fault.
Tried many times but couldn't beat the boss :p
Great game!

It's a little weird how you suddenly receive the power-auto-recharging power. But the gun mechanics have great potential. Nice graphics.

I totally felt like playing an old NES but then with this brutally realistic Newton physics... :D Really good! Your game seems very mature and polished.
Yet I have to moan about the lack of cross-platform. Also source would be cool. Pls add!

Very cool! Your later levels deviated a lot from your core concept though, not sure if I agree with the decision, though I do appreciate the changeup!

Great look and feel, everything is super polished here -- well, except for the end "congratulations" screen which flashes for only a split second before the game shuts down, but I'll let that slide =)

I'd echo the previous comments about the boss level. I also noticed two yellow vertical line pickups in that level but wasn't sure if they did anything or not.

Also, the score counter in between levels seems to not be hooked up to your actual score =P

Nice game!! I included it in my Ludum Dare 39 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OwlGq7uM8W4
