---------------------------------------POST JAM---------------------------------------

Because I thought this was a really fun game I decided to polish it up a bit post-jam and put it on the google play store! Please note that this is post-jam so not to be used for judging!

With that said, check out the game for android here: Play Store - Orbit Hop

Hey !

I played your game. I have some feedback that I hope you can use.

Great game. It's easy to get into, and it explains it self after playing a bit. I wish I somehow got told in a way that the objective is to jump high. I didn't get that before the end, and if it somehow could be a bit easier to start with and then escalate. I found it hard to get over 5 meters.

Really cool game you should keep working on it.

Pretty solid entry :) The controls were not clear at the start but other than that I had a lot of fun playing the game

Great entry, a bit challenging but after a while once I understood that I need to jump higher and higher I started to be more strategic with the placement of the buildings and trees, really fun game, love the art :D

Original and simple game. My record was 7.05 meters -> http://prntscr.com/f2uia3

It took me 2 deaths to understand the placement mechanics, but after that the gameplay felt really good. The music is good too. The objects could be more interactive, which you could implement in the post-compo. The art style is outstanding.

Solid entry, I really enjoyed the mechanic and the addictiveness. I did have a problem with the shapes and the placement of the objects though. I really think it would have been more awesome if it worked a little better, the shapes do not compliment eachother enough I feel. I tried quite a few times and could not reliably get very high. I really hope you do something about that for the mobile version because I really enjoyed playing it!

Wow you actually raise a really good point. There was still something that bothered me a bit about the game, but I couldn't quite put my finger on it. I think you just pinpointed exactly what I have to improve on! I will definitely be looking into changing the shapes.

Thanks for the feedback!

Pretty cool and fresh concept. I made it to 7,58m. Keeps you coming back for more and try out different strategies in order to get higher.

Graphics and music are adequate (nice Mega Man paintover) ;)

I would have preferred some more control though, maybe the option to slow down or speed up the rotation by pressing left and right might have helped a lot in making the game a bit tighter.

Also I think it may have been nice to use two different keys for jumping and dropping items, as often when I wanted to jump from a building to reach a higher place, the guy dropped another house.

I wonder why the game is 30 MB though. Did you pack some debug stuff into the exe?

Pretty neat that you made a post-jam Android version.

A very original idea. As they have said before, at first they understood the mechanics but then it becomes entertaining. The only negative part is the dizziness that cause me the movement of the planet xD

Really neat concept. I had a fair bit of fun playing it. I'm a bit sad that the character didn't walk over small steps in height very well. I kept trying to make a gradual mound, but the character would get caught on edges that I didn't think were protruding very much.

The graphics look mostly polished. The music is a little cheery for my taste, but it works.

All I have to say is simply wow, you just made a game so incredibly simple, yet so fun to play, to the point that it gets really addictive. Gameplay is just fine, graphics are neat, the mechanics are flawless, maybe a lil back story and less repitive and interesting music would have made the game even better than what the actual game ended up being, but still I really congratulate for this effort and clever concept, and keep doing more!

Interesting, the concept is very simple yet fun. It is addictive and with some narrative it might even be considered as full featured game. It could even be more fun with embedded devices and other means of control.

Simple game but a loot of fun! You did the most difficult task making a game, keep it simple and fun xD
There is a lot of complex games in thi jam but instead of that, for me, this game is one of the greatest games of the LDJAM38, It's not easy to make a simple mechanic to entertain people.

Music fits very well, the mechanic is simple but is complex enough to keep the possisbility of doing some cool tricks to reach a higher jump.

Really nice work. You can polish the idea of the game to monetize in google play/app store markets, good job!

It took me a bit took figure out the mechanics, but not too long, and when I figured it out it was pretty fun. I like the simplicity. Make it an app and make millions >:D.

As said above, very elegant concept, and always nice to come by Megaman!
Also yeah more complementarity between the objects could help you build structures... Add some physics in the mix and this could get pretty crazy.
