The concept is really cool, and the typing aspect makes even just firing feel interesting. One thing I would have liked to see changed is a slightly higher starting movement speed. It makes the start of the game feel a little bit sluggish.
I love the typing avatar in the corner, too!
Great work!
I enjoyed the overall idea of type em up, although I think the game has a very impactful problem with the input system:
- I tried several times to press [escape] expecting the command console to clear ( instead of that the game was set back to windowed mode and I had my run fucked up haha)
- [Backspace] pressed was not working as I wish it worked, a lot of times it cleared more than one letter.
- If I decide to [Backspace] the entire line, the first character that I type after that will vanish.
Other than the problem with the input, the game was awesome! I had a really great time playing it, everything was well polished, great setting and sound effects. The diversity of enemy types was also very great!
Keep up the good work!
So excited to see somebody made it!!! I enjoyed it so much
Anyway, except for the lack of sound (which deprives the game of a loot of moodiness) it was absolutely stellar (haha, see what i did there?). One of the most innovative takes on the theme i've seen so far. The cute pixel art graphic fit well together and created a good overall feel. Good job!
