🐶Help the friendly DOGs escape the dungeon... but watch your step, and choose what to sacrifice wisely...🐶

Dog Dog Dungeon is a puzzle platformer where your goal is to find a path to get all the dogs to the door at the end of each level. However, platforms are scarce, and go away when you use them, so think carefully before deciding when and where to jump. The safety of YOU and your DOGs depends on it...

🐶Controls:🐶

-Arrow keys/ WASD - Move

-Space/W - Jump (holding longer = jumping higher)

-Q/E - Throw Dog

-(if you get stuck on a level you can press p a few times to skip it)

🐶Tools:🐶

-Unity (game)

-FL Studio (music)

-paint.net (art)

-blender (the falling platforms are actually a 3d model because I was going to animate them breaking but did not have the time)

[Change Log: Updated cover image and description, fixed a bug where the final level wouldn't end properly] [Change Log2: Fixed another bug where the final level wouldn't end properly, fixed a bug on the credits screen]

It's... interesting? the first puzzle had me stumped for a little while because it's kind of hard to trigger the 'cutscene' if you don't know what you're looking for. Also the timing for the platforms to start dropping is a little quick.

Tune is really nice and I like the concept of throwing dogs :D. Game is quite challenging that I almost gave up but in the end I made it! :) One thing I dislike is the pixel art combined with dog sprites. Anyway, great job man!

really fun and great art + music! That first level was dropping you in at the deep end difficulty wise though!

Pretty interesting idea, but, as for me, music is quite annoying (but it's just my opinion):)

Really fun and challenging! It didn't take me too long to figure the puzzles out but it did make me stop and re-think what I was already doing. The music is also really well made!

Nice game all around, the visuals, sounds, music and level design are all pretty good. I got stuck on the last level though, I threw the dog at the door and it landed on the edge of the platform as my character fell into the pit, but the level did not restart nor did it seem to register that the dog had been saved.

Really cute game with great art and controls. it's tough as nails though, as starts off pretty brutal right from the start imo. I think you should have a key like R for quick restarting.

@kelbg oh no, thank you for pointing that out!! that makes for a 3rd end level breaking glitch, note to self, do not save the last level for the last hour. should be fixed now!!

To think that a platformer about dogballs could be so charming and emotional...

What an all-round marvel. Simple, yet effective and even stunning graphics paired with a musical track that's fitting, funny and thrilling, and grouped up with platformer puzzles that really tie everything together. I'm astonished.

What can I say? I'm flabbergasted. I usually write longer reviews with feedback, but I'm utterly speechless this time around. On your place, I have no idea of what I would change or add to improve the experience, since it's already all so neatly packed together. If anything, as someone mentioned before, an R button or something to quickly restart. But really, for short levels, that's just me being picky.

Incredible work. I'll forward it to [my team](discord.whalesandgames.com) to share on the delight that Dog Dog Dungeon is. I clap like a madman for you, looking to see more of this kind of entries in the coming jams :whale:

One of my favorite games of the jam for sure. Perfect difficulty (hard but not impossible), and solid puzzle elements and very clean platforming. Feels satisfying to both the fingers and the brain, and looks and sounds great while doing it. 10/10

I gotta say, I love this :D The music is so great and funky and makes me want to save all the doggos from their doom. (Was the music by any chance inspired at all by the annoying dog song from Undertale? :D) The level designs are also very clever! Excellent entry!

Absolute fantastic game! You don't hold back at ALL and you had me trying hard right off the bat, I loved that. The puzzles were all very interesting and required tight execution and less about trying to figure out what to do, kinda like Celeste's game design. Like others said, the game felt genuinely satisfying to solve because you have to plan out your routes and button timing. The presentation is the proper amount of whimsical and I never got tired of that music. I think there are many things you could do with the core mechanics and should definitely consider pursuing this further.

Really excellent visuals and sounds (loved the borks in the soundtrack), tight controls, and overall a really pleasant experience. My one complaint would be that the levels started out hard, and kept getting even harder, so I couldn't finish.
