It's a mass-correction of placement of the planets until no more of them overlap one another.\n\nI personally go for a \"trashgame\" aesthetic, so these kinds of things aren't so bad in my book. Biggest thing I would change is the selected color display. I found myself having to constantly move my eyes back to it when I feel it should have been a peripheral thing. That aside, it really was a lot of fun! The art also reminded me of good old Crayola Art Studio 2 back in the day xD","likes":1,"format":"md"},{"author_name":"niterich","author_uid":"1056986","time":"2018-05-10T16:11:52Z","epoch":1525968712,"modified":1525968712,"text":"For some reason, the game wouldn't play properly in Chrome. The sound wouldn't load and the results screen wouldn't show up. Works fine in Firefox though. And even then, I couldn't get the arrow keys to stop controlling my scrollbar, so my view was constantly changing.\n\nOnce I got it all figured out, I found you made a pretty nice game. The music was nice and the colour-matching element gave some variety to the game. That said, I agree with Ratherjolly about the colour selector being too difficult to read at a glance. I feel it should have used more vibrant colours since they blend into the black background otherwise.\n\n","likes":2,"format":"md"},{"author_name":"Rob White","author_uid":"1052407","time":"2018-05-10T17:49:12Z","epoch":1525974552,"modified":1525974552,"text":"A cool simple concept. I hadn't heard about Crayola Art Studio until you mentioned it. What a throwback, eh? I liked using so many bright, saturated colours for this one, and although I am not exactly a kid of the 90's I can see the attraction and a lot of my aesthetic emerging from that era.\n\nThe perhaps \"overzealous\" or maybe \"enthusiastic\" use of random sound-files is DEFINITELY something I want to do more of in the future. Thanks for letting me know about it, and of course thanks for taking the time out to play and comment on my game. :)","likes":1,"format":"md"}],"format":"md","images":["ld41\/90527-ea41ad9f3d06e9814d46b7df9c553db5.png"],"links":[{"url":"http:\/\/www.let-off.com\/software\/1hgj\/shmlash\/index.html","text":"HTML5 (web)"}],"metadata":{"g_key":"52366","g_author":"1090526","g_event":"LD41","g_eventkey":"72","g_subevent":"JAM","g_urlkey":"239808","g_title":"Shmlashing Shplanets","g_status":"USEAR3","g_place":"908","g_commentcount":"12","g_site2_node_id":"90527","g_hide":"N","g_has_icon":"Y","g_rqueue":"0","g_random":"0"},"nds":{"n_key":"90527","n_urlkey":"239808","n_parent":"73256","n_path":"\/events\/ludum-dare\/41\/shmlashing-shplanets","n_slug":"shmlashing-shplanets","n_type":"item","n_subtype":"game","n_subsubtype":"jam","n_author":"90526","n_created":"1524483285","n_modified":"1524656885","n_version":"275530","n_status":"COMMIT"},"node":{"id":90527,"parent":73256,"superparent":9,"author":90526,"type":"item","subtype":"game","subsubtype":"jam","published":"2018-04-23T11:40:04Z","created":"2018-04-23T11:34:45Z","modified":"2018-04-25T11:48:05Z","version":275530,"slug":"shmlashing-shplanets","name":"Shmlashing Shplanets","body":"The goal is to smash all the planets.
