Chungholio Tower by Rytannic
This is a simple game for Ludum Dare 41. The aim of the game is to ascend Chungholio's tower and destroy him by destroying generators and activating beacons throughout the tower. (More info in the tutorial)

You will be required to dodge and shoot your way to glory but be careful! Falling off the tower, being slain by it's...less than friendly occupants of robots or succumbing to it's traps and hazards will put you back to the main menu. You'll have to do the whole thing over again.

Note: The game is designed to be challenging and unfair. With time and exploration you will learn it's secrets. Be persistant.

ALL feedback is appreciated :D! Happy climbing!

Am yet to find someone who can beat it (Besides my friend with some guidance. Literally overhauled my wall of text Tutorial for him with pictures and stuff)
@OmnipotentIndie Your health is the green number in the lower right corner  (Perhaps it might have scaled wrong. I didn't play the game in any resolution besides 1920x1080. Perhaps try running the game in that resolution.
@Holofire Hello there! Congrats on beating the game! I was beginning to think I had made it too challenging There's a lot of games to get through and I was scared people wouldnt want to put in the time to get the hang of it so thats a releif.
Thanks to all of you for playing. I hope you enjoyed!
Great concept, feels like FPS + BulletHell.
Awesome job overall!
We are looking for feedbacks for our entry, “Type ‘n Jump”. Please consider checking it out too :) https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/type-n-jump
@Yack Sebblen I'm glad that you think the music and graphics compliment eachother. Yeh a few people seem to have trouble getting the hang of the sloppy controls while some like them and think its snappy. Guess you cant please everyone ;)
I love that "Perfect game" comment. Made me feel great haha. Thanks for playing
Here's my entry if you'd care to have a go?https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/spacescape
I'm not sure what the two genres are though. Apart from that, this is a decent entry.
@pixelproductions I would love to but I didn't really have much vision for it outside of "Something I can put effort into programming that isn't too ambitious" In hindsight I wish I'd put more effort into the art style but it seems to have worked out in my favour. Thanks!
@veilastrum I tried to go for something that was easy to get the hang of after a few tries while still maintaining challenge. I tried adding tips and things on where to go but it was hard to work out how to do it without spoiling the exploration element. Ended up just writing how to beat the game, from start to finish, in the the tutorial lol. Thanks for the feedback! As for the two genres, the game is an FPS / Bullethell crossover :)
@mowztouch Thanks! It was supposed to be challenging and I'm glad you liked the graphics despite them being the thing I put the least effort into lol.
