Hello E-Lia by edomiyamoto

[raw]
made by edomiyamoto for LD 39 (COMPO)

Hello E-Lia is a game like every others I make: collect notes, find batteries, and explore some mysterious realms. This one got exclusive combat system for the first time. Play as Mike (again) and save your team !

Note for my fellow devs: This was made with Unity + Playmaker, I certainly would love to share the stuff I made with playmaker in order to share knowledge but I don't know in which folder/files they are saved, can someone enlight me ? I'll make a .zip right away ! Cheers !

Hey, really nice game you got there :)

**Gameplay**

I got dizzy at first due to the motion sickness induced by the controls, but adapted after a while. This feels more like how a console game should be played, not a PC game :p Other than that I found no bugs to speak of, the puzzles are interesting and the physics are good.

**Ambiance**

That french accent is killing me X) Nice job with the voice acting there! The storyline and dialogues were great and the small notes like the map littered across were cute to read. I really enjoyed the whole journey!

The controls feel wierd, like slipery...

The music was incredible, the fact that there was a whole story made, and a lot of details, like the glass actually having a glass-like effect was amazing!

I liked the voice acting, but it was kinda hard to understand, and at the start the text disapears before the speach is over.

I liked that there was a battle system, even though I don't see the reason of using your hands to do anything, since there doesn't seem to be a penalty for using energy consuming methods. I guess they were there just to fill in the space!

The mouse flickered a lot, but other than that, I had no problems playing!

I didn't understand the story, but it was a good game nonetheless, espacially since it was made in just 48 hours! Well Done!

The game looks good and also fun to play, but the camera control might need some work :)

Well, really impressive compo entry! Gameplay was fun, though I didn't get the point of hand fighting... and my team is pretty cowardly, but that's the plot. I freaked out at the beginning because it had a scary vibe going as well XD
Otherwise, congrats! Only issue I'd have is that I couldn't explore as much as the map showed me.

Very interesting game! I included it in my Ludum Dare 39 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ztP-p00QMyo
