A World of Death! by tompudding
It's a world of slaughter, a world of tears It's a world of death and a world of fears!
Have you ever wanted to use an umbrella to smite demon dolls? Now's your chance buddy! It uses pygame and pyopengl in the unlikely event you can run the source, but fear not, because I'll package it up for various platforms tomorrow.

This game was inspired by the ride "It's a Small World" that first debuted at the World's Fair in 1964, and can now be found at various Disney theme parks. Since I didn't have time to actually make any art for this game (and I can't draw anyway) the resemblance pretty much stops at the boat and the music. Apologies

It's a good and well executed idea. The sound feels well, the music sells the hell theme well, despite the funny approach.
It feels satisfying to let the demons bounce off your umbrella, however once they are on the ship they become a little bit hard to handle. They can fully disappear behind the ship texture and hitting them is too hard at times.
One of the most enjoyable games I played so far.
being able to quickly switch between the umbrella deflecting mode and the hitting mode would have been nice, the delay was a little annoying as i couldn't stop things flying in while some were on my boat.
Overall just a few issues, but well done! I liked it
Overall a really good entry!
Using the umbrella was fun and it was satisfying to "boing" the dolls into the water. I found them really hard to hit once on the boat for some reason - either my aim is bad or the collision detection didn't quite match the umbrella swing animation.
I didn't feel like it matched the theme much, but that doesn't really matter. :) Overall really great.
This game is probably better than it has any right to be  I had a blast! Lighting and water are both outstanding! My only real gripe is how hard it is to see the baddies sometimes once they're in the boat. Kudos on having two uses for the umbrella! Very clever.

All in all some really cool graphic effects, nice sound effects but the audio latency takes away from that. Gameplay has potential - the delay before you can hit or block creates a nice element of in-the-moment strategy, but since there's no warning for when the arrows are going to come, you can't really plan it.
Well done, and thanks for letting me experience the famous ride! :)
Maybe killing the gnomes after they're on the boat would have been easier if the umbrella attack triggered on mouse press instead of release. Also, I found the lack of fullscreen mode annoying as any clicks outside the game window took away focus from the game. The text at the beginning of each level vanished so fast I was almost never able to read it and the music sometimes wildly played two instances at once, resulting in chaos :D
