Pushta

RUNNING OUT OF SPACE on your nice square board. So what to do?

STACK the colors!

Due to some technical problems with you "grey board 3000" you can only move one color at a time with the CURSOR / ARROW keys! The currently active color is marked in the top left corner. Stacking more that one block at a time gives you extra points. Blocks do ONLY STACK when TOUCHING THE WALL!

Try to stack all the boxes with as FEW moves as possible while getting as MANY POINTS as possible.

TL;DR: Use cursor keys Move boxes with the color marked in the top left corner Stack them when they touch the wall and push into each other Make points (more when stacking > 1 box per move)

Have fun!

p.s.: tired, late, no time for love dr. jones, more info tomorrow!

This is a nice game! I like the simplicity in graphics and the concept is neat. I think it could be improved with audio feedback for your moves especially when they don't do anything. The selected colour should probably also be shown on the blocks themselves rather than just at the top, for clarity. Nicely done.

Hey mate, I see this is your first time participating compo, this is something I can't get on for some time)

I completed all 11 levels, gj with making such fun and minimalistic game, really had a fun with it!

Maybe, if you are planning to evolve this concept, consider a mode with limited moves, for player that wanna some extra challenge) Anyway, this is a great entry, keep on rolling!)

Hey I really enjoyed your game! I am a pretty big fan of puzzle games and this game scratches that itch! Though I did see a number of bugs where the game was giving me too many points or I was getting points when I didn't stack and blocks, particularly on level 7. Though you only had 48 hours so I'm sure with some extra time for debugging those issues can all be cleared up :) Anyways, very fun game with a unique mechanic, would love to see you keep working on this game after the jam! Maybe turn it into a fun little mobile game or something. Congratulations on making a game in 48 hours!

i like the minimalist aesthetic, reminded me a bit of Dissembler in that way. i feel like it could give the player more feedback in general, as it took me a while to understand what was going on. I also think that if you try moving in a specific direction and can't, that shouldn't be counted as a move. anyway, cute game! :)

Hey @larzan nice work on this little puzzler! Concept was pretty cool, like ChicomCastro said it may make a good mobile game! Nice job!

Interesting take on the 2048 style of gameplay, it's not very obvious what your actions will do or what they did when you start pressing keys so I would work on that!

Interesting gameplay - something unusual. I like the pure and minimalist aesthetic which allows to focus on the game - nothing more. Mechanics work well as expected. No music? It's a pity. I would like to hear something ethereal. Well done. Thank you for this entry ++

Nice gameplay: simple but fun. I got up to the level with orange blocks, where I stopped because I encountered a bug where it said "3 blocks stacked :)" every time i made a move.
