No Space In My Stomach by Roman Petrov

Stewart is not a lucky guy. Not only he was born as a snail far out in the uncharted backwaters of the unfashionable end of the western spiral arm of the Galaxy, but once upon a time, he woke up in a mysterious dungeon from which, it would seem, there is no way out. However, he found out that he can clear the way by eating colored pills lying here and there. It's a pity that there is so little space in the stomach...
Controls: arrow keys — left/right, Space — jump, R — restart level.
A lot of players reported that platforms seem to disappear randomly when eating pills. Each pill removes all platforms of the corresponding color and orientation (horizontal or vertical).

Great job introducing and teaching new features to the player gradually. A short animation (along with stopping movement) while the snail is in the toilet would have added a bit more impact to that feature in the game.
Despite all of this, i did enjoy the paper cut style you've done.
Pay attention to the music loop, which is also too repetitive.
It's strange that you couldn't complete Level 1 in a browser. What browser do you use? There were problems with Chrome before, but now they're fixed and game runs very smooth.
The jumps are a bit odd though and the snail is too slow for me (well it's a snail after all, I know...). Since you sometimes have to restart the level because you get stuck, having a slow character is a bit annoying
2)On the picture you see another bug. I cannot escape from this prison.
3)Level "one chance". I have the bug number 1 and i win, cause the exit is under the start. I don't wanna show that U've done badly i only wanna show your mistake.
Still, I really enjoyed the concept with the platformer and the game was fun, so I hope you continue to polish it and let me know whether I somehow missed the solution to level two!
The puzzles were challenging and varied, but never got frustrating.
I ran into one bug where I finished a level but somehow the level complete screen didn't show up and when I went back to the menu it wasn't marked as complete. (I was very grateful that I could just skip to the next level anyway!)
Anyway, good job on this! :)
COntrols are a little slow and it can be tricky at times but the art, the gameplay and te theme is cute. Well done :)
PS Brilliant mechanics with the toilets!
I had trouble - sometimes I couldn't jump very far up, like on the very first level I struggled to make it up to the first platform - but restarting the game helped. I got stumped by level 3.
I'm colorblind, so while the palette you've chosen is very pretty, it was difficult for me to tell different colored pills/platforms apart.
Since pills of the same color erase different platforms, you need to restart a few times in order to figure out which exact pill erases which platforms. The prob is that the character moves so slowly, redo-ing feels long. Maybe I'm just being impatient.
I liked the level names and I enjoyed the game.
And I'm so sorry that you had problems with colors! Actually, I mentioned possible problems with color blind people. I agree that we should have thought more about the palette, or add another elements on pills and blocks to help people like you.

Good stuff :8ball:
Controls - Slow movement speed coupled with awkward jump mechanics make it a bit of a chore to play, particularly in long levels where there's a lot of back and forth. Jump detection was a bit off, particularly on moving platforms and near the edge of platforms.
For UX, I'd start teaching things in smaller bites - only teach 1 new concept per level, and if it's a particularly difficult concept, maybe give it a few levels to sink in. Level 1 could be 'get to the exit'. Level 2 could be 'touching a pill makes platforms disappear', and so on. That might seem tedious, and it might be to the player, but if you up movement speed a bit, that will help.
Btw, I think you could easily make a horror game using the same artstyle, it kinda has that nice, creepy complexity to make it work.
Well done!
The graphics are very detailed but somehow very similar to a web game series I've seen.
I played the web version and I just realised there wasn't any music. Perhaps that's a bug.
It's pretty fun as I've obviously finished it in one run!
Great job! :)
I suggest you to play my game to see how different colours and shapes can be used, and still can be recognised easily.
The loading screen just says: 'Starting...' Encountered this problem using the Firefox browser.
However, it did work in another browser.
While typing this your game is running in the background with the music on and everything. Gotta say, I like the music vibe. Nice and layered, nice bass lines and such.
The game itself is fun! I like how you guys 'morphed' the theme to make it fit a puzzle game. The theme becomes more of a game mechanic in your game. That's nice.
There were some minor gameplay bugs though. I couldn't jump when a lift was going down for instance. And not all the blocks with the same color disappeared when I got a pill.
The game looks pretty much done visually. I had the feeling that time was invested to make it look like the way it does. Props for that.
Cool entry Hedgehogs! :)
By the way please feel free to leave us some feedbacks on our game!
I personally didn't have any issues understanding the vertical vs horizontal platform disappearing mechanic, but agree that it probably could have been made more obvious somehow. I guess it helps that you spelled it out in the description, haha.
My main complaint is actually little quality-of-life things that could have made the game feel a bit less tedious. It felt like the puzzle aspect of figuring out the right order in which to do things was fairly interesting, but in the latter half of the game it felt like in order to actually focus on that I had to first go through a tedious task of panning the camera around the level and memorizing a bunch of colors. I feel like I would have enjoyed the actual puzzle aspect of the game a lot more if I could view the entire level at once and move faster. I understand these were probably intentional choices, but I personally felt like the puzzle aspect of the game could have carried through more strongly if didn't have to deal with those things as much.
Some of the other nitpicky things like the jumping on platforms moving down were already mentioned; those are pretty minor though. I did find it a bit odd that the menu UI navigation was all mouse-based even though the game itself used the keyboard only.
All that said, props for making a puzzle game in a short time period -- it is really not easy to think of clever puzzle designs quickly! And the concept is a pretty cute too! Though I fear for little Stewart's health after eating so many colored drugs...
The movement feels a bit clumsy and making the camera height fixed at the edges instead of scrolling would look better for the level design I think.
There is a bug that blocked me on level three, if you eat red, purple, tan, you can get stuck in the WC.
Other than that it's a good game overall.
@meatpudding Thanks for your feedback! Can you clarify a bit about the bug? I think I never saw it. Are you able to reproduce it?
In level 3, it would be nice if the horizontal green pill is a bit easier to avoid. In level 4 in the top left corner I would easily get kicked of the platform somehow.
