Demon Dominoes by frosty

Compete with the demon Val'ak at the ancient game of dominoes... with an infernal twist.

  • Pick a tile to sacrifice to the Boneyard. Whoever sacrifices the lowest tile wins 3 points and goes first.
  • Match skulls to earn an extra 5 points.
  • Be the first to play all of your tiles. If you can't play a tile, draw from the Boneyard.
  • If both players pass, whoever has the fewest points in their hand wins.
  • The winner of the round wins the total of the opponent's remaining tiles.
  • Skulls count as 10 points. Don't be left with them in your hand!
  • The first to 100 points is the winner.

Note: I'm especially happy with the sounds, which were all recorded, instead of my usual 8-bit sfx. =)

A nice idea to put a "sacrifice" spin on a classic game of dominoes! Played a full game and ended up winning 104/29. It's well put together and I didn't find any bugs. Well done!

The game looks really good and playing is simple enough. Understanding the gameplay is easy and pretty intuitive as well.

It's maybe a little bit on the easy side, but still a really nice way to spend a few minutes.

Very polished and AI seems pretty good as well. Never played a real dominoes game before but was decently enjoyable. Very fun, great game!

Really fun. Finished with 140 to 89. Plays super well and is very polished. Sound effects are good as well but I think some light background music or ambiance would tie it all together nicely.

Great game! Good graphics and audio for a compo game. It's a little hard to understand at first, but fun to play once you get the hang of it.

Amazing compo entry. Gameplay-wise you should make it so that the player can choose which side a domino is placed on if both are possible.

Nice one! We also have made some kind of demon domino game. Probably, you should make game logic a bit harder, I have played three times and always won, my AI-opponent never gained a point.
