This is my first time working on unreal, and creating my own art and sounds effects (almost all), it was difficult, I needed 2 days more to finish the game but I am very happy with what I got.

Enjoy it and please give me some feedback so I can keep improving.

(Inspired by the King Arthur movie, GOT, Adventure Time and others)

You are the King of the Farland Kingdom, as a king, you are always concerned about your gold... people*.

Your kingdom is not doing so well, you have some power issues, something to do with people management. In an act of despair, you signed a pact with the demon living under your castle, an agreement for exchanging life for power.

Of course, you are not stupid, are you? For a reason you are (still) the king, you noticed that nowhere in the contract says that it was your own life.

As a king responsible for hundreds of people, you have to "collaborate" with your subjects to guide them to the demon, or to the armory.

Gain power, defend your kingdom!

The idea of the game is to survive until the 6th wave, managing your power and army, using it to defeat the mercenaries. Then the game will keep going, but you can name yourself victorious in that moment.

You have to command your people to follow you, to the demon to gain power, or to the armory, to use your power to turn them into warriors despite of what they want.

Oh, and there are some delicious mushrooms, if you are into that!

The number in the left is your power, you gain power giving people to the demon, and spend it turning people to soldiers. The number in the right is your life, if you run out of life everything would be in vain.

Controls:

WASD - Movement

Shift - Sprint

Left Click (keep pressed)- Command people to follow you

If the game runs slowly, give it some time, it will get better in a moment.

I do love the art style very much but i am not really sure how to play (i just played the ld one) nothing seems to happen and i can just walk around. One small thing i noticed is that your character "slides" a bit before he walks which is not a big issue but something you want to keep in mind for future games

Thanks @1samuel411!!! @aterlamia :D, yeah the Jam build was not finished, the Jam + 2 version is the playable one, oh thanks for the feedback, I will keep that in mind for my next game.

Cool stuff here with some great sound and art. I would suggest some more in game tutorialisation though, as it took me a few minutes to understand what was really happening.

Really loved the art, well done on that ! The gameplay has potential but is not very clear overall. With a bit more time i'm sure it can be a pretty cool game :)

The graphics is definitely 5, nice models and textures, Good sound effects. the rest of the game could use tutorial, it took me some time to figure out, you need to bring the dudes close to the weapons, the same thing is true for the pulling of the dudes, some visual or sound feedback when you pulling them would be nice. Also it would be nice if you could sacrifice your own life for money in some way not just dudes.

I'm pretty sure working on your game for 5 days instead of 3 is against the spirit and the rules of Ludum Dare. The rules clearly state you are only supposed to fix major bugs in the game after submission. If you do such significant changes, you should at least leave the link to the original submission, so people can judge the ld version of the game.

I understand that @flying-dog-fish, just added the other build, I had the first build here before, the problem was that it is not playable and people were downloading that one, I understand that the idea is to show what we got in 3 days, but for me there is no point to receiving feedback in something that is "not finished", I only have one "completed" playable build and is it the 5 day one. Thanks!

The cool thing about the game in my opinion is the art and aesthetics that made it very cute.

Thanks man! @miltonsilva, the art part of the game was my main focus this time, I am used to be the programmer only.

The visuals really got my attention.

The Gameplay could need some more work I think.
Some explanations could helpt the game, too!

hey, as everybody is saying the art is completely amazing!
The controls are very confusing, i guess you designed for a controller. You could just use right-click for camera, or otherwise use a 2 handed keyboard design (not great given keyboards multikey limitation)
Anyway, it is very promising! good work

i love this game.
gameplay needs some work, player need to have more time to prepare, now you get overwhelmen by enemy in minutes. and game just not ends, i kept laying on the floor while my health continued to lower in negative numbers.

Love the shader and artstyle! Comes together nicely. The gameplay was a bit hard to get a hold of - holding mouse to keep them following me instead of clicking was not obvious.
The sacrifice part is interesting, but did not need to use it with the mushrooms for health?

I don't know what happened but my PC was at 100% CPU and 100% GPU all the time. Even Witcher 3 wasn't that punishing for him.

I like the game, but it was hard to understand what to do.
I have read gamepage but still. Enemies are much more powerful then our sodiers

@jestemstefan yeahhh this is my first time with unreal and there is a lot going on in the level, I still have to learn a lot of optimization in unreal. Thanks for the feedback

I dont feel comfortable rating this based on the features it didn't have on release, but I love the art. and it's really goofy to watch my soldiers crumple into flesh blobs after being attacked by other soldiers.

Awesome graphics, i just had a bit of stuttering on my machine, but the overall look is awesome, the build size is REALLLY HUGE for that small amount of assets.
The shading you did is awesomee, you could try to improve the "handdraw style" by making the shadowing use a "hatching" texture and maybe add some "grainy" texture to the large and bold contours like "pencil graphite"...

The UI is neat and clear, but the art isn't following the same direction as the characters and evironment, maybe just add some hatching to the lighting and shadowing of the elements (fonts and icons) would fix that.
