Gardian by D1gital Cuts

made by D1gital Cuts for LD 42 (JAM)

2.PNG1.PNG A puzzle game about trying to grow some flowers on in a floating garden that's literally falling apart.

Platforms fall after you step on them twice. Different flowers have different effects, figure them out yourself through experimentation ;)

Alo, please note, I didn't have the time to add any volume control, so please turn down your volume if you value your ability to hear :P

This is my first time participating in Ludum Dare, I was originally planning to made for compo (so made everything from scratch and by myself), but decided to take another day to add a bit more levels and polish.!

What a gorgeous and stylistic game! I hope you're able to rate more games to get this noticed more, it's really nice. I got stuck after a couple of levels since there's really no instructions, but what I was able to play I loved. Great job on this!

Ooo this game looked and sounded sooo great. Really loved the art style and all the polish you guys put in to the feedback. I had a bit of a hard im totally getting a hang of the different puzzles and sometimes a beat them without really knowing why. Perhaps a bit of a tutorial would help, but what the heck it's a game jam :). Had a great time with your game, great work.

P.S The music was totally my jam

Beautiful! I love the style. Perhaps more purple.

I had a lot of difficulty figuring out the mechanics - even when I would beat a level, I would sometimes have absolutely no idea why. Maybe a few levels later I figured things out - I think I was unclear on the sparkles on the ground being where I needed to plant things, and that a single plant could get multiple souls floating on them.

Really a lot of levels, impressive amount of content! I think I made it through about a dozen (got to one where I could plant a star-shaped plant that I had no idea what it did, and got stuck there).

Yeah I was trying to let whoever is playing to be able to figure everything out on themselves, but I definitely could've done a better job pointing certain important things out, and also probably should've made sparkles more visible

I actually thought I made not enough levels (there's 16)...
If you're curious, the star-shaped flower destroys the black vines next to it :3

Took me a while but finally got that final puzzle. I'm amazed at all the cool brain teasers you managed to get done in just the 3 days.

Incredible game! I didn't make it all the way through, I got stuck on the level with the weeds. This game is innovative, fun, and absolutely stunning. I didn't really get what to do at first, in fact i'm still not sure i understand, but it seemed like an innovative concept, and the entire experience was filled with beauty and charm every step of the way. Amazing job!

I get a black screen on the web version? Seems like I can control my character and I hear music/SFX, I just see nothing. As for the original version, I loved the graphics and the audio was charming, but it was very easy to get stuck - I appreciate the no tutorial approach, but certain things could have been laid out more intuitively. Great job on your first Ludum Dare!

it's beautiful! I enjoyed figuring out what the different flowers were doing, and even if for some i was still unsure, i was able to get through a number of levels. i stopped a few levels after the teleport flowers were introduced. the music is also very good! the hint stars were crucial! thanks for including those

I saw you posting screenshots during the jam and really wanted to try this. The web version didn't work for me, but the download was fine. I loved the graphics, audio and mood, so high marks there! I did really struggle with the actual gameplay though, I tried for a while, but I was just baffled. Would love to try again with a bit of an explanation of the controls and mechanics.

As many have said before, it is a bit hard to figure out the mechanics.
But that's an really interesting puzzle game with awesome graphics and cool music, it's good to see that level of quality in a game jam!
