ABOUT

The game is a proof of concept, for us to test whether the concept of constant darkness allows us to create the dynamics we need to make the game engaging and exciting.

The game was created by 3 people, doing every piece of art, sound, game development and software engineering by themselves, in their first ever Ludum Dare.

Hi Guys. Sorry about the error, it worked for us, so it might have been the upload which has gone bad. It is now corrected!

I could play the game, the dropbox link links to a folder which I downloaded fully, so I got the dll, the .exe and the data folder.

The game itself was really buggy though, the GUI was half outside the screen in the left top, I didn't see if I had any resources, couldn't figure out how to get them.

The game looks and sounds really good though! It looks very much inspired by Don't Starve, maybe a bit too ambitious?

Hey, you need to make more clear how to play the game. Write a control description. I could only figure that rigth click moves your chracter like 3 minutes into it. I wasn't able to figure how to craf or construct anything really. A lfe indicator woudl nice too.

The graphics and music are really nice, and the mood overall is pretty cool. If it wasn't for the problems I mention, I would have enjoyed more. For the first jam is a great effort nonetheless.

Eveyrthing lought a bit rought & unfinished. But I appreciated the effort made on the overall mood & graphics. There is a bug that stacks music tracks when you die & retry, but the music was nice. On the other hand, I had hard times playing the game, because it does'nt let you learn the basic and throw enemies directly at you.

Thanks @julianeder33! We really put a lot of effort into the mood and theme ;) It was the first time I ever did 3D-modeling, so I spent the whole Saturday learning Blender :D

Interesting entry. The music and the design really work together. I could interact with some models and wolves(?) attacked me, I just died. Perhaps I didn't really get what to do, doesn't really matter, I enjoyed to walk around and discover the area.

@subztep Hi, thanks for trying our game. You should be able to attack the wolves by left-clicking on them :)

Very nice game, few bugs with animations, movement is a bit hard to use at times other than that a really nice game, loved the mood!

Good lighting and music. Could not do much in the game though, apparently I did not have any resources (would be nice to see how much I have on the HUD), and I could not figure out how to get them.

Is there a way to rotate the defensive walls? I couldn’t figure out so just built a sort of stone tunnel. Enemies are bit scarce. I saw one early and walked away from it, didn’t see another rest of playthrough (got bored and quit the game before winning/losing). There seems to be no threat walking into darkness, and no reason to build lights. I wandered carelessly around collecting materials and returned to my stone tunnel base to build more stone stuff. Menus should have a auto-collapse on them and a “blueprint” able to be cancelled. I accidentally built a wall couple of times by clicking a menu item while having the blueprint still out. I loved the character art, kind of reminded me of Playmobil characters. Atmosphere was well built with lighting and music. Fun concept with a lot of potential but the actual game needs more work.

It's ok. Didn't feel like i had any objective. I managed to build walls but couldn't figure out how to build the rest. Its a good base for an improved game. The atmosphere feeling was really good!

The mood set by the atmosphere and music is great. In the time I played, I hit a lot of rocks, trees, and killed an attacking animal. It wasn't clear how to begin using the crafting or inventory menus. Seems like a good starting point for a survival game.
