That's a really nice looking cube. The puzzles were pretty easy and it didn't exactly control very smoothly, but I still had fun trying to complete each puzzle at quickly as possible.

Thanks, I added the WebGL build on itch.io just to be convenient, but I had to change the controls to do so. I'm a little unhappy with the results of doing that, if you want a better control/movement experience, download the executable version

The idea for this game is super great, and I mean super great. But I downloaded the game, and I found the controls to be a bit clumsy. And I lost the cube more then once, and I would therefore really have liked a way to restart the level.

Thanks for the advice, glad you enjoyed it!

That was pretty cool. I quite liked that. Beat the first level without reading the instructions, but when I read about the fact that you're *resizing* yourself and the cube, that was unexpected. I thought I was just floating up or down at first.

I'd like to see the puzzles from this expanded on.

@Chronosv2 I am expanding on this game, so I appreciate the comments! I agree, having a 3rd-person view would be ideal, or some kind of HUD that represents the player's scale, because it's not very up-font about it. Maybe even a FOV change?

I'll give the game a try later, just letting you know that you (probably by accident) put it in the Compo, but play by the Jam rules (multiple participants). Not sure whether you can switch at this point in time though.

Alright, I played it. It's a nice idea that could benefit from expanding more on the mechanics. More levels would be nice.

The music is really neat and keeps the atmosphere up, the sound effects underline the growing and shrinking of the box nicely.

Some comments:

- The controls are a bit wonky. You get slower the closer you are to the ground which feels a bit inconsistent. Also you can look through walls.
- The choice of controls could be improved for my taste. Picking up the box with left click and moving up and down by keyboard keys would have been much more intuitive, I think.
- I was able to finish the last level by pushing the box through the wall as I didn't realize there is a tunnel.

I have now also rated your game.

@cerno-b Yeah.. I worked alone, the only asset someone else made was the Cube. Everything else was me. I added it last minute before submission then realized I would have broken the rules for Compo. First LD submission, didn't understand that rule clearly. That may come back to bite me in the ass, but hopefully it's overlooked since I gave credit and an explanation. I've gone ahead and opted out for graphics category with this considered.

Thank you for the feedback, though! I am going to expand on the game and make some improvements, so I appreciate the constructive criticism.

Alright, welcome to LD then.

Some of the rules are quite lenient, others are pretty strict, including the no collaboration one. But don't worry too much about it. It's not like the LD police will shut your game down or anything. Worst that can happen in your position is that you get a lower score.

It would probably bite you if you reached one of the top 100 places, but that's incredibly hard to accomplish, so no worries. Just make sure you work alone next time or join the Jam.

I got too big and my cube was too small so by an accident the cube went flying away (I only touched it) without me able to get it. After that I just moved a little and fell through the world... That was when I realized that the game doesn't have any reset button so I was just stuck, please consider having a reset button for the future. I really liked the concept idea but I think it is a little too ambitous as you can break the game quite easily if you scale up too much. I would like to see this concept a little more elaborate in the future as it's a nice idea to build upon.

The cube looked nice, but other graphics were just basic things. more importantly, the gameplay lacked polish. and picking up with f key is unheard of. but, I imagine, it took a lot of work, and since it is a compo, It was oveall good. maybe next time, do a jam and polish it up

I'm going to leave this in the compo as graphics were opted out of, and I accept that the rules weren't presented well on our part (we just used the old rules). But this game is actually below the threshold for a score, so `*shrug*`.

Short but fun game. The graphics for the cube was nice. A little more levels and this could become a real game.

Controls were a super wonky, I think maybe using [E] instead of [F], or LMB / RMB to interact with things would feel better. (Make sure to opt out of Graphics), the puzzles were very simple and I'd recommend adding more variety of puzzles into the game. I enjoyed the concept, execution needs a lot of polish.

Fun mechanic, the control were a bit difficult to handle. especially the fact that you have 2 sets for pc and we make people like me who reads too fast make a lot of mistakes.

I quite liked the concept once I started figuring out exactly what was happening. I was confused that I was scaling myself up and down and I agree that the controls weren't intuitive. It's a neat idea, though, and I love puzzle-type games so I'm excited to see how you continue to develop it! Congrats on your first Ludum Dare!

Nice mechanic, similar to the one in my game. :P

I don't know what happened, but on the last level I couldn't pick up the cube at first on the WebGL version. I walked a bit and then it worked, but I don't know how or why. Apart from that, I had no problems.

You said you would opt out of Graphics, but it is still there for us to vote on.

Anyway, good work, and welcome to LD! :)
