[raw]
made by Lederhosen for LD 38 (JAM)

startscreen_gamepage.jpg

You are the Littlest Kaiju. All the bigger, meaner Kaiju took all the big and normal-sized planets, but you're okay with that. You love your tiny planet and the creatures that inhabit it. Protect the planet's cities from the onslaught of comets and meteors, or witness the deaths of its citizens first-hand!

Controls:
Left- and Right-Arrow keys or A and D to run
Spacebar to jump (hit Spacebar again while airborne to flutter/double-jump
Enter while airborne to ground-pound

Instructions:
Run to rotate the planet
Jump or double-jump to raise the planet momentarily
Ground-pound to lower the planet momentarily

Don't let projectiles hit the cities. If they all get hit, it's game over!

Pretty cute game! The music is fun and a little goofy. I played it on web,and the controls were a little unresponsive, but it didn't hurt the game experience much.

Fun game. The art style is cool, and text bubbles as people float into space almost makes me want to sacrifice them for the laughs. I would like to see this one taken a couple layers deeper

Hi, nice game. The controls were little cumbersome. I had a hard time to get out of way of asteroids. Jumping/landing is a cool idea but it is not as responsive or maybe just movement of the planet is too slow because the planet is so big :-) I liked the graphics and the music/effects it perfectly fit together and also the little details like people screaming in bubbles. Good job.

give me a giant lizard and i will move the earth. Very cute graphics and nice music. The game is a bit too simple when you have only few cities left.

Nice graphics and music. I ended up protecting a single city from destruction, which proved fairly easy. I feel like the controls could have been a bit quicker, as the game is fairly slow paced as it is. Overall, good effort!

Feel free to check out our game, [E.(a)T.](https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/38/e-at), if you have a few moments. Thanks very much .

Cute art and fun gameplay. It becomes somewhat too easy and simple the less cities you have to protect.

Omg! I had a good laugh! "Feed my cat!". Catchy music, cute character design, cool particle fx, humor, that silky reflection on the planet that almost got me hypnotized. The idea of moving the planet by running on it was great and the circus-like music made it hilarious. Very good job!

Fellow kaiju game!! I like the concept (also similar to one of our old games, funnily enough http://ludumdare.com/compo/ludum-dare-31/?action=preview&uid=18627), though the mechanics feel a bit awkward. It took me some time to get the hang of how the jumping worked (I had assumed you would just jump off the planet rather than moving the planet itself), then I just ended up rotating for the rest of the game since that seemed more predictable and effective. The game actually gets sort of easier as time goes on since you have less cities to defend, which is a little weird. Great graphics btw, love the art style! Music is great too but some sound effects would have helped gamefeel a lot. Would love to see this with some tweaks, bet it could be super fun. Nice work!
