Not a bad little game. The background music was quite soothing. I got stuck. I was able to turn off the blowing face and walk over to "activate" him? (different sound with push). I may try to figure this out a bit later. Not a bad jam entry.

Nice little game! Enjoyed the little puzzles once it clicked that I had to do stuff to the bouncy apple. Good job! :D

@nandemoguy Thanks a lot, it sounds like you completed the first half of the game, you'll need to pay attention to the background to solve the rest.

@binaryferret Thanks a lot, I'll check your game soon :)

Great little puzzle game, music is really cute as is the character. The first puzzle was pretty cool once I figured out the mechanics which were very fun to figure out. The second puzzle was solid, but I think splitting the recipe in two was a bit confusing, tough it might have been my fault.

Anyways I think you did a great job, it was a fun game, hope to see you next ludum!

Hey there, that was really fun, the graphics were great, the music was awesome, and the puzzles, oh the puzzles! that last puzzle was really hard to figure out, if anyone gets stuck towards the end, try punching things, and listen. Great use of the theme as well, all in all you did really awesome! that was very fun!

Hey @xmatos! I took the time to play your game, it was pretty interesting. I really like the idea of the cycling world, I do find it interesting for a puzzle game. Took a few try to succeed for the first puzzle, but it was easier for the second, weirdly. I loved the music and the global idea which fits perfectly the theme. However I had a bit of troubles to get used to the controls which were kinda sensitive? But after a while, I managed to adapt myself to it.

I had only one crash, but wasn't able to reproduce it, so I would not be able to tell you how it happened. I only occured in the first level however when I was jumping on an apple in the middle of successive jumps.

Pretty nice game anyway, it is a pretty nice job!

The first game I played on stream and it was great! A good mix of platformer and puzzle game, with very nice art style.

Music and sound design improved a lot the ambience of the game. The small world theme was perfectly applied on this was with a twist: the world loops around.

The only thing I would improve is a better understanding of where the apple can go. I got stuck at a point but thanks to the help of the dev, I managed to complete the challenge!

(You can see me playing this game for the first time on the vod https://youtu.be/_Upt3PIzndo?t=4m28s )

The music is pleasant and the graphics ok, although the main character looks somewhat out of place with its flat shaded color and :neutral_face:

The puzzled themselves were not hard to figure out. It is the execution of said puzzles which made me honestly annoyed. The fruit moves in steps, but it still lands in most unfortunate positions. Why can't the fruit be pushed to the pressure plate both from the left and right? Why are the elevators not in sync with each other, so that moving the fruit from one to the next would be easier. Why does the fruit land on the very edge of the second elevator? Why is there a high tech teleporter in this jungle?

So many :question::question::question:

@firewill @thecrancher @pixelstuff @togis @huvaakoodia : Thanks all for the feedback, it's all very appreciated.
@huuvakoodia Many components were rushed in making this, I just wanted to have a finish product, and then I could fix things, don't know if this is the best way to go but that's what I did anyway. The main character was simple so I wouldn't lose much time in animating him. The elevators problem was apparent to me, and would be a very easy fix, but I had more alarming issues to resolve. It's funny you mentioned the teleporter, it was a late addition, I needed a faster and more convenient way to get up rather than use the elevators. The fruit pushing is for sure the mechanic I have to work and think the most, the level itself was made before I figured out the distance that the fruit would travel and that's why it lands in such awkward positions. You're right, once you figure out the puzzles you should be able to do them with no problem.

The pixelart is well done. And the puzzels are nice, but that apple killed me :smile:
A visual effect for the blowing wind that blocks my way would be really nice to have, but still a good ld game!

First off, the gray text on the blue background on the splash screen is a little difficult to read, maybe pick something with a little more contrast? It took me a moment to figure out what I was supposed to do, but when I did I saw that that was totally my own fault and it all felt fairly obvious.
It was a little challenging to predict where the orange ball would go as it just teleports around, some visual indication would have helped there. It also took me a while to realize that there was *wind* going on in the bottom area. I had the audio turned off by accident (so that was my fault again), but some additional visual cues (streamy wind-lines?) would have helped a lot.

Unfortunately, the game crashed/got stuck for me when this happened:

I could not get it to quit (it's still open as I write this)

Overall, a cute little puzzle game though.

I enjoyed the game and loved the cute animation and pixel art.

However, I had problems with your control scheme. I am using a QWERTZ keyboard, so x and z are not as conveniently close as they maybe on other layouts. Maybe you could just add the y key to also work for jumping?

The art and music a good. And the puzzle design is nice, though completing it was kind of a pain. I would definitely play more levels.

I wasn't entirely sure how it tied into the theme.

A fun idea and premise. In the future, for this kind of playstyle you could aim for even simpler, but more polished graphics, that would e.g. help differentiate background from platforms (affordance plays a vital role in simple games, and the overall impression they make).

Commendable, that you decided on building platformer-puzzle hybrid, it's not an easy task and you managed to put all the mechanics in place.

Good job overall, and I hope you continue developing (mostly polishing) it. Left you a rating,
cheers!

@samurai-spark Thanks, That apple seriously needs more work on.
@for-science Thanks, The menu was left to the last minute. I should had it clear that playing with sound is recommended, and yeah, I'll have to add on multiple visual cues.
@arcticmattekar Thanks a lot, I'll have to keep in mind different keyboard layouts, and at least I'll add a re-bind feature.
@move127 Thanks, I'll make it so when you figured the puzzle out, you should be able to complete it easily. The theme is simply a very small game world, it takes about 5 seconds to do a complete loop.
@lepatryckduffy Thanks.
@takusan Thanks, I'll try out to experiment with different art styles in the future.

I could not solve the last puzzle but I still like the game. I especially like the sounds of the game. Sounds reminded me of "commander keen". Thank you for making this game!

Hey, sorry for taking so long after the stream to actually come and leave a rating. But I loved this game! It's exactly the kind of puzzle game that I love to play, where you're given no direction and you have to figure out what to do from the world around you. Still haven't managed to get the one way up in the sky, but I'm trying lol. Anyway, loved the game and I hope you do well in the ratings.

Great aesthetic and music, and I thought that the game made good use of the small world concept. I think the puzzles could have made better use of the world-wrapping mechanic though. Additionally, the one with the blowing statue took quite a while (I had to cheat by watching another youtube video from someone else) because the timing required was so pixel perfect. I would recommend making the difficulty of the puzzles based more on figuring them out rather than doing a set of actions perfectly, as not being able to do something that seems like it should be simple can be pretty frustrating.
