Type2Flap by Cedric Fey

Not sure we followed all the rules but there is it is. Type 2 Flap a cross genre between flapy bird and a typing game.
Literally type "flap" to take the bird into the air. You can also "spit", "dash" and "dive". You can also try "Flaaap" and "Daaash" and combine of course.
- "Flaap" flap 2 times
- "Flaaap" flap 3 times and so on. It gives you the time to "spit"
Repeat the last letter of a command to repeat the action:
"flap" "p" "p" etc...
P.S It is very hard.

## Move tier list:
### God Tier
* FLAPP - can be used to move like Flappy Bird except slower. Repeat as many times as needed.
* DIVEE - essential for the quick under-over.
### Mid Tier
* SPIT - can't really see how this one is beneficial when you can normally just fly over or under something. If there isn't room to fly around it then you were probably going to die anyway.
* DASH - likewise, just FLAPP instead.
### Flappy Tier
* FLAAP - Strictly worse than FLAPP. Does the same amount of flappage but isn't repeatable.
Great visuals too! Good job on this.
I'm doing some kind of post-mortem that may address some points, so maybe the curious ones can get a better feeling of what the idea was behind each command (But please don't let that bias your ratings! This is no excuse!)
EDIT: here's [the post-mortem](https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/type2flap/$94473)
 What I loved
* Loved the visuals and overal style of the game.
* I see soooo much potential in this game
* Very challenging, but very rewarding gameplay.
:thought_balloon: My Thoughts
* I wish the game had sound or some sound effects
* Maybe turn the speed down a little bit  It might be better for the jam so more people get to play the game for a bit longer. If they die instantly they come back to write a review.
* Nice mix of genres.
I’d love for you to review my submission as well.

But I like challenging games and typing games, so it's cool for me haha ! I also like the graphics :)
As others have said I'd think this would work better if it was a bit slower paced. I ended up only using flappppppp mostly because typing other commands took too much time.
Graphics are really well made! Black and white was a good choice for jam games!
Sometimes the level generator creates combinations that are impossible (or nigh impossible) to manage. Also, I don't see a level progression, so it's about the same difficulty from the very beginning.
