This is a 3D platformer made for ludum dare 40. Didn't get much time to make art, music or much else than the core gameplay and character controller. I would have loved to put some awesome art and music though, but I hope the gameplay can shine through without it.

Collect each colored orb, when you do the level changes to a more difficult version of itself. This can be pretty difficult or really easy depending on how well you master the somewhat buggy controls. Combine jumps, wall jumps and dashes the get the most movement. This may help even when you think there is no way that you could reach that area. Good luck and enjoy.

CONTROLS:

WASD Keys to move

Mouse for camera control

Space Bar- Jump/Wall Jump when near walls

Left Mouse Click - Dash

Updates: Fixed game breaking bug - resetting/death, the game wasn't resetting correctly stranding the player.

Great to see another 3D platformer here! Difficulty in your game is high, smooth WASD but I had trouble figuring out the wall jumps. I like the simple look of the level design with the primary colors. Good start!

I was very confused until I figured out dashing.

It's pretty cool, but the controls are rather awkward for a trackpad user (like myself). Luckily, I was able to remap the Jump and Dash keys to J and K, which was a lot more comfortable.

I have not managed to beat it yet, but I will keep trying!

(Also, a bug: I was able to escape the kill plane by dashing fast enough, you might want to tie resetting to the player y-coordinate rather than a collision.)

The controls are pretty solid, is the dash supposed to let you keep increasing speed if you hit it fast enough?

I collected all three sparklies, in 230 seconds and a whole lotta attempts! (What, no ending?)

The dash is slightly crazy at the moment. I ran out of time for any nice things, but I am happy that you stuck to it and made it through!

really cool controller! almost got the one that was directly ahead! i found the camera sensitivity to be really high, had to turn my mouse sensitivity down really low.

I really like how you used the theme. I love your idea of increasing difficulty by changing the level rather than just adding enemies like so many other games did, (Mine too, sort of). Of course art/graphics needs a lot of work and the controls could be better, but the gameplay and concept is fantastic.

Nice job crating a 3D game!! The movement was really smooth but i think the dash was kinda crazy in my opinion.

I think you used the game jam exactly for what it is good at: try a game mechanic and see if it works. The mechanics of this game are promising. I hope the positive responses motivate you to develop it further :)

I see a lot of potential in this! While I didn't really understand the connection to the theme, the controls and mechanics are responsive and worked well. I can definitely see this as a solid base for a future project.

I love the mechanic that you can misuse the controls (wall jump + dash) to climb up walls. This mechanic definitely deserves a full game. The changing level the more you progress is a nice concept too, but I didn't manage to get to one of the orbs though so I can't judge if you did it well.
The level definitely has not enough contrast and is very hard to read, which made me fall into the void a few times.
