Logo.png

Cluster is a very old hard drive (its maximum storage capacity is 10 GB), but very insightful. Tired of the constant abuses of its owner, by the large number of files downloaded, a rebellion begins in which you can help him to comply with it. Delete each and every one of the downloaded files, before these become hidden in the folders.

Very fun and challenging game with great graphics. Would've loved to see a slightly faster attack, but that would probably throw off the balance.

Game looks great, the animations are fun, the music is nice overall a great entry however I didn't know if I was meant to fight them all or let the pink and green ones in just seemed there was nothing really explaining what their was to do.

OMG! Probably the **best game** I've played so far from Ludum Dare! Very nice Game with amazing simple yet beautiful graphics, but I think that the attack speed should be slightly faster

I really liked the character design and i thought the dude laughing manically in the back was hilarious. I think the base idea for the game play was good but I would have enjoyed it more with more variation in the combat and types of the files you have to break. The power ups are good example of some nice variation so applying that to the enemies as well would create a less consistent pace which i think would be more fun. Anyway great job :)

The main character is incredibly cute and well designed, gameplay-wise i think would have been better with some sorts of move that combine attack and move, like this feels a bit static with the possibility to hit only standing still, overall nice entry, sounds effects are really satisfying :D

Feels really polished! Simple but smart use of theme, cool graphics, cool sounds! Doesn't really know why there is a creepy guy in the background but it's not a game issue so... whatever !
Good job :)

wow, im astonished by the characters design and quality of his graphics. also i really enjoyed the idea of the game, where youre the hard drive yourself. also i like the soundtrack, which is, if slightly repetitive, very fitting and nicely done, overall, very good job, one of the best ones ive played so far!

Pretty cool game! The 3d and animations are on point. The mechanics is a little bit simple, but with the cloud element stuff got better. Oh, and you can slide the bar that shows the disk space. Overall pretty good <3

It's REALLY pretty! The combat feels solid and good, movement, punching, comboing, all that looks good.
- But there's a really small range of things that you can do. Which is a problem for a game of this nature. (I understand of course that it's a jam game and has jam time constraints)
- It was not clear from the outset what you're supposed to do. I thought you were supposed to push the files into the folders. I did that for a while.
- There's a distinct lack of feedback from the files getting to the folders. They kinda just stand there doing nothing. I wasn't sure what they were doing. If there's a timer till when they "assimilate" or whatever that should be apparent.
- Because of that there's little urgency in the gameplay, it kinda just dragged out a lot.

Really nice little game.
The animation are well done, the graphics too. I don't see what is the purpose of the game as I smashed into icons and see my hard drive keep growing. Don't understand the goal game.

Super nice game ! Graphics are awesome, the sounds are nice too :)
The main problem in my opinion is that ennemies have too much life, you should be able to destroy them in one attack i think :)

Charming fun little game. It feels a little aimless but the presentation is solid. Love the art because it reminds me of the paperclip from Microsoft Word, haha!

Loved the artwork and attacks. The antagonist was creepy. Initially I thought since space was attack, that I only had a certain number of attacks and initially was not sure what I was trying to do but it easily became clear.

I wasn't exactly clear on what I should have been doing... Do I get the into the folders? If I had to guess, the aim would be to hit the files to death and not put them in the folders? Would be nice to have some kind of feedback when a file gets put into storage, and how that is actually happening so that the player can be clear on it, and have a better shot at preventing it it.

I also think the enemy animation on the being hit could be more obvious that its's having an effect rather that their eyes(?) getting smaller.

The guy at the screen is terrifying though, haha. I think that was my favourite part! Overall it feels fair polished, and the graphics work well for the game. A little confusing, but otherwise, nice work!

Awesome game!
Art is great and gameplay is simple yet addicting. The guy in the back was hilarious but I didn't really understood what the cloud thing did except show 3 more clouds xP

This was quite fun to play. A well-polished entry, especially the animations! The antagonist looks so creepy, almost like a torturer/evil scientist. I felt bad for the hard drive.

The gameplay is maybe to simple and repetitive but the art is awesome and i usually don't like so much 3D. It give all the fun of the game to see the animation and the f***ing creepy face of the dude behind the screen.

Fantastic work with the art and animations in this game! The audio did get a bit too repetitive for my taste, but aside from that this felt very polished for a game jam. Well done!

Really superb graphics and a very funny creative premise, I like it! I wish there were objectives and other levels, the gameplay gets repetitive after a few minutes, but still an amazing submission. Good job!

That is the most graphically polished game I've seen in ludum dare! Those character design, animation, logo and creepy dude in the background are awesome, just jaw dropping visual quality. The music is really cool too.

But the gameplay is a bit confusing. My first thought was that I lose space when files touch my character (he is a hard drive after all). So my first instinct was to punch files away from me. I punched some files inside folder and they happen to dissappear just as they were inside, so I thought that the goal was to place files inside folders.

After reading description one more time I've found a sentence where it is stated that I have to defend folders, but it would be much more clear if you have this fact in picture tutorial form, since you have all other information in pictures. They attracted my attention and I completelly missed text about folders.

Really cool entry overall, exceptional job!

Art/animation were great, and I really liked the audio. But sometimes the controls felt a bit sluggish, especially when I tried to jump, and I think the mechanics may have been a bit over simple, but it was a fun game!

This is a fun game and I love the creepy laughing guy in the background. I was confused at first about the folders and thought I was meant to tidy the files into them, but I realised what was going on eventually. The only other comment I have is that the sound didn't quite match up when it looped, but as you've opted out of audio, I imagine that was already like it .

Very polished looks, the font fits perfectly. Also small details like the character's shadow are great. The left-right-kick combo is very fun! But as others mentioned here, it makes the game a bit static and the controls fall a bit behind the overall presentation. Good job!

Beautiful graphics, and a very good use of the theme. I only wish my attacks have a little more weight behind them, and the enemies seemed impacted (beyond their cute faces) so I could tell I was making progress hurting them.

Overall this is very nice and solid entry. Unfortunately after a while it gets repetitive and nothing really pushes me to try to get more points, but the animations are amazing and really lovely! It is very well handled and all works as it should (at least from my point of view :)) Great Job!

i like the idea of the gameplay! the only thing to improve the game would be a harder difficulty, since every run takes too long. there don't need to be gimmicks to each difficulty, just let a few more enemies spawn, let those enter the folders faster, and let the player recieve more points. but besides the difficulty, this game is really good!

22. Aug 2018 · 20:46 UTC
Yes to all the votes for graphics and animation! This is a very polished looking game. Was there something special to do with the cloud files and the zip files? I just punched everything. I would like a big response when a file gets lost in a folder-- maybe the folder gets bigger-- but I think it's unfair to expect everything in 72 hours. This game is already more than most teams achieved. Congratulations!

I like the Character design of the HardDrive and its Files.. :ok_hand:

The User in the Background reminds me of Medic from Team Fortress 2.

Optional Suggestions:
- Have option to either show score metric during gameplay or points for each hit or file nullification..
- Button to 'appraise' selected files (show its stats: File Size, Health, etc..)
