@solluxx, the whole game has been made during this 3-days jam including code, music (2 songs) and art by the team of three people. The only exception are sound effects, I was using freesound.org and Audacity. Thank you for the kind words.
The graphics and the gameplay are awesome and the game seems to be very polished. One of the best I played in this event.
Please, take a look at my game too: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/confessional
Nice art and gameplay.
Really nice game. I can't believe you made it so quickly, especially with AI O_O Congratz!
Nice game and stylish art! Also AI is pretty good.
The layer of nice art and sound with the mystical/demonic characters and special abilities is an impressive layer of additional scope over the top, wow! And all of it worked and was really clear - I jumped right in, never looked at the help, and won my first match 3-1.
I think I would have lost if the AI was a little more careful about not hitting its own teammates. It seemed to play for damage, and I played purely for scoring... maybe a mistake on my part, as once they were two men up it was tough for me. But once the field evened again I won handily, but being REALLY careful with my one fast guy left. Poor Gandalf went down immediately for my side, woops!
Everything here was on point. The only critique I can offer is that the pace is a bit slow. I like action games, and I do play a lot of turn-based roguelikes as well, but those are single-character tappa-tappa speedy turn-based games. This level of 5-man squad turn games feels a little onerous to me, but I can't tell if that's just inherent to the genre and merely a matter of taste. If it played twice as fast I definitely would have gone back for multiple matches.
Overall a very impressive entry across the board. Very nice work!
Glorious execution!
Unfortunately, we couldn't make some of the features in time, including KO win condition, better messaging of some features and faster game pacing; we all believe that it would not be fair to put them in now.
Some of the non-obvious features we heard about include:
- changing AI/Human controls by clicking on upper portraits in select mode
- canceling the ball kick (click on the hero).
If you notice something else that was not obvious or missing, please let us know. We also appreciate your thoughts on the balance and game pacing!
Game mechanics pretty hard to figure out and takes 5-7 restars for me. Lovely made game mechanics with different characters with unique abilities and ROLES (it feels).
Sometimes looks that CPU cheats...
I managed to win 3-0 without losing any character!
It would have been nice to have options to change the music volume though.
Great atmosphere. I would recommend taking it further
Not sure if I missed something, but it would be nice if you could tackle or attack opponents. Now many characters are often too far from the ball and have little to do.
The only thing that slightly bothered me is how slow characters walk. But still this is the best game I've played so far.
But I like the art and the game overall (and put you high scores).
I left my rating of your game, if you can leave your feedback in our game, Witch's Escape.
I hope you continue with the project.

I loved playing this, though. It's a highly impressive game for just 72 hours of work. Excellent job!
