Cool game man, the grahpics and font really go togheter. But I suck at this type of games :( I believe I couldn't kill any alien ship haha
The main problem I had was that it felt like I could "lose" the camera if I was going fast enough. This lead to me losing track of the Earth and losing it on wave 1.
Still though, this was an interesting defense game. Keep up the good work!
Immediately I was grabbed by your font, it feels very hand drawn in paint and I surprisingly enjoyed that quite a lot. I love the mechanic of knocking the enemy shots away with your own, and basically overpowering them with your barrage of rounds; I found the game quite frantic as I raced around trying to draw the enemy fire away from the planet. My only real criticism is the gunfire, it does feel a little repetitive after awhile, especially when you spam the left mouse button like I was.
Overall, Good job!
Loved the controls, was fast paced! I liked the fact my bullets could push theirs out of the way. I did find it very hard, but I'm not very good at these types of games so I don't know if it's me being crap or your game is super hard hehe.
Liked the firing sound effect also!
Thanks for creating and sharing! Good job!
I really liked how your ship orbits the planet. That felt really unique while still being a natural choice. I also liked how your shots would collide with the enemy shots so killing them was like a tug of war. I loved the font and the arrows when you got far away were helpful.
Nice job.
Unfortunately once earth is gone, those aliens are not very interested in the player's ship after earth has been destroyed. They more or less hang out where they spawn and only shoot if you approach them. Zoom out and shoot long distance: you gonna win.
Technically, however, very well done. Controls are good, graphics are good, shooting your way through the enemy's bullets is good, sounds are good. I've lost earth, but I played until wave 17 or so.
Well done
Maybe if bullets weren't so fast, so that you could actually circle around an enemy to hit it, evading it's bullets, it would play smoother?
Other than that I have to say I enjoyed it :)
How could this be achieved? I'd say firstly fine-tune the controllers - you go to the right side of the earth to kill an enemy, you will reach a high velocity and then scramble to regain control and pursuit the ship, then repeat for that other enemy ship on the other side. It's too much scrambling for control. To reach the enemy ships in time you need full speed, with full speed you will lose control of the ship. Or perhaps I'm just bad, I did however play the game 10-15 times or so and consider myself skilled in the art of gaming. This is my attempt to give some feedback on what could be done - analyse it as you will.
Overall extremely jealous of your game, definitely gonna look through the source code! Wonderful art and a great idea, I love these kinds of games. Great job!
