Very nice game. Creative idea: jeweled and race!
I liked the music and graphics, well done!
The best think is the learning curve, you can really improve and you not get frustrated, the vertical drifting is hard to master but not impossible. You put weeckless rally in an Arcade and you will have a lot of people trying to get more points.

I love this game. Best game this LD so far. I don't think I have any criticism. The tutorial starts off immediatley in the menu but it takes time to realize that so I had to watch it twice. Other than that, it's just good.

One of the best, if not the best game of LD41 I've played so far.

Brilliant concept. Fun to play too.
Also I do like the "the menu is the game" meme and i like your implementation of it.

It took me a while to figure out how to clear the matches that bend.

It feels like there's a lot of depth in technique to keeping colors you need to do the high scoring combos multiple times.

Fitting art/music style, theme, and great game all around.

How did you settle with this idea ? When I saw the theme, I imediately wanted to make a racing game, mixted with a turn base strategy ! I couldn't explain why XD
I just knew I couldn't get it out of my mind.

Great melding of 2 genres! It's really polished and I like that you pick up cars and make combos with the colors. I did want to speed up the car using S though. Mostly my preference though!

Artwork is really nice, it really caught my attention! Clever combination of genres although the gameplay didn't maintain my attention for too long, maybe because I want to race these beautiful cars as a more traditional Amiga "Super Cars" game =) Wonderful job though!

Amazing classic graphical style. Cool combination of themes, and the core mechanic is really compelling.

The "hard" level was a little overwhelming - it felt like there wasn't quite enough time to line everything up to make all the sweet combos. But I guess that's why it's hard mode!

Nice, I love both the idea and the execution. I didn't notice that what was happening before the menu was a tutorial so I ignored it and was confused as hell when I started playing but it was easy to grasp after a few missteps. The art is really great too. Well done.

Not only is this one of the most innovative concepts I've seen this Ludum Dare, the graphics are also fantastically detailed and well-polished. I think the way the game detects collisions and matches got a bit frustrating sometimes, but I still had a lot of fun playing this.

I also really enjoyed reading your post-mortem blog posts; they're really well-done.

Thank you for making this game!

It was fun to play, and I like the genre mix. And the mood - in a race, one plays usually as a challenger, not as the cleaning truck driver!
I found also that arts are somewhat polished : I noticed lot of details in graphics, and the music, as simple and repetitive is it, goes very well with the game.
Very well done!

This is really fun! The controls are a bit tricky at parts but the graphics are amazing, the sound design is pretty fun, and it's just really-well coded! Also I ran over the frog at the start before playing in "hard mode" and the lil voice you put there cracked me up ^^# - ALSO the time lapse videos of the game's development are pretty neat ideas, I'll check out the one about the Art later on. Well done, nice game, keep it up :-D

When I passed a chain of purple cars onto purple squares and read a bonus, I felt skilled! If you continue to develop this, when I dragged a chain of cars past their colored squares, I felt clueless.
