Lootbox Simulator 2018

lootboxsimulator_cover.png

Summary

In modern games there is absolutely one thing that people hate and love beyond all else. That thing is a lootbox. We hate that they often times provide those that pay cash an unfair advantage, but we also want that loot just the same. Sometimes you can buy subscriptions with in-game currency and that lets us feel like we cheated the system, but did we? So, I present to you a way to simulate that feeling with no cost. Also, it involves lots of tedious clicking. Enjoy!

To those confused, this is a Clicker + Simulation.

Instructions

Click the lootbox in the center to generate clicks which are your currency. Use that currency to open the lootbox or buy a subscription.

Really fun little game with nice up-beat music!

One point I would mention is that once you have bought a subscription (after much tedious clicking :D) and you then get another 1000credits you can't buy another one?

Still a really cool little clicker, nice one!

I think it's off to a good start! Maybe add the ability to buy some auto-clickers and you've got a solid time waster :)

Baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! 200 clicks and my fingers couldn't manage to click any more. I guess there will be no subscription for me :( Nice job on the graphics and, even though the music wasn't yours, I really enjoyed its jaunty feel... it's one of the reasons I kept clicking for as long as I did.

Not much more than a clicker game. Art was good but the rest was annoying.

What a little clicker game! Could use some of auto-clickers or upgrades to get faster to then... get faster? Haha

Wow, I also used libGDX! How did you get it to work on html5?

As for the game itself, I can't see how it fits the theme. Is it lootboxes+clicker games? Anyway this game has a lot of potential if you added a something more than a clicker aspect, like make the loot have cool effects.

@pohead12345 I had to do a few things.
First was opening a command prompt and going to my project folder.
Second was running: ./gradlew.bat html:clean
Third was running: ./gradlew.bat html:dist

I also tweaked my HTMLLauncher to make it the width and height of the game I intended it to be. I still need to figure out how to make it look better in html but I was happy just to get it there.

Also, its clicker + simulator

I like that you gave the option to turn off the sound and music! Most LD games don't have that so good attention to detail

I love the atmosphere and the mood of the game, though it's a little content-less. Booting up my autoclicker and using it made the chest disappear from my ascreen completely. When I bought the subscription, nothing happened though.

@DeltaNutmeg If you have 1000 clicks and click on the subscription button it auto generates clicks. If you dont have 1000 clicks to buy it then it doesnt work.

I cant guarantee functionality when using third party tools to cheat.

very humorous at the beginning but that doesn't last long, pretty boring game that doesn't use the theme.

I get it. It ain't making me laugh, but I get it.

A clicker game without the automation that leads to addictive play, and lootboxes that don't appear to actually give you anything.

I liked the music, sound effects, and what graphics were there were nice, but the humor ran out after about a minute of play.
