Controller Required, Xbox inputs by default.

Wizard Swarm is an intense twin-stick shooter with endless waves that increase in difficulty. Take control of rookie wizard, Herald, in his quest to save the streets of Endavar from evil red robots from the future. Herald isn't alone as he has his trusty machine gun wand that is powered by control stick magic. At the end of every wave has you sacrificing one of your stats for a better chance of survival.

This is our second Ludum Dare. Unfortunately, our artist couldn't participate this time so you'll have to deal with our beautiful programmer art. We decided to use Unity instead of Godot this time, which posed some challenges. Neither of us had used C# before, so it was definitely a learning experience. We hope you enjoy our game as much as we enjoyed making it.

Pretty basic and fun top-down twinstick shooter you got goin' on here. :) Made it to Wave 5 before dyin'.

Couple of suggestions for improvement:

I feel like the dropped power-ups are far too infrequent. I would maybe get like one every other round. It would also nice to be able to tell which stat it would power up before I picked it up. Personally, I felt that Speed Up was always a detriment, because it made my character much harder to control, and since 1 hit would kill me, it would up the difficulty of the game significantly.

Despite these little complaints though, I had a lot of fun playing. It was simple, but functional (the latter not always being the case for LD games, so nice work!)

It was just okay. It was hard to control the hero, unless I took the slow down. Enemies come with numbers, and it was easy to lose. I liked the programmer art :)
