Something was super satisfying about the jump sound effect.
I thought it was a bit tough, and it seemed like some of the powerups were placed just to make you fall off the edge (as in unrecoverable locations where if you drive there you can't turn fast enough anymore to get back on track.)
Simplistic graphics with some nice lighting effects got the job done well.
One suggestion is to make restarting quicker - counting down from 5 at the beginning was unnecessary I think. A quick 3 2 1 or even just a READY -> GO would have worked and been less frustrating.
Take the frustration as a compliment though - I wanted to play again and dind't want to wait.
Second the cornering is very slow, making some of the turns extremely difficult, or else I didn't get the hang of it. On the second course, there is an S turn right after the last checkpoint before the lap marker, and for the life of me I could not stay on the track. I feel handbrake turning would be very useful in this case and would make managing the tight curves possible. Then again, I don't play much racing games other than Wipeout, so I'm partial to handbrake turns.
Despite this though the games aesthetic was great. The music was appropriate for the mood and everything looked great, but need to either make the controls a bit tighter, or ease the player into them with some difficulty ramping via easier initial levels where they can learn the controls better.

I enjoyed both the graphics and music, as i think you created a really nice techno racing mood. The controls were smooth and and the toughness of it was there just enough and not over frustrating. I do agree with Burgee on the powerups or some sort of variance in the gameplay other than just the track changing direction. Great game overall though! Keep it up!
Also, if you're really looking to do a collab on something just message me I'm willing to help
The game could use a bit more variety though; after a couple laps around the tracks I feel that I experienced everything.
I liked the music and sound design too, really helped with the neon/techno feel you were going for.
The things that I had trouble/think could be improved are pretty much already said by other people in the thread:
* Turning mechanism could have been a little smoother, sometimes it was a bit hard to control given how quick (lol qwik) the pace of the game is
* Power up placement was a little iffy in some spots, leading me into a guaranteed crash or flight off the edge
* Graphics were a little plain, but given it was just you asking for more would probably be a lot to squeeze in
Overall though, really good job, especially for a first timer :)
