My first entry: Planet Invaders by Inworks

I created a wave survival game set on a tiny planet that you crash landed on. It doesn't get better because on this planet there are drones that attack you and there only goal is to kill you. I hope you enjoy.

How to play:

You can edit the controls when you start up the game. - Shooting = left mouse button - Forward = z - Backward = s - Left = q - Right = d - Pause menu = escape

Known problems

  • If you notice that te planet isn't populated with many objects this is because my AI doesn't check for objects this is because I couldn't use unity's inbuilt navmesh system on a sphere. Maybe i will find a solution when ludum dare is done!
  • Lack of a reloading system because its a plasma rifle
  • Lack of more weapons

@inworks a 3D game for a compo entry deserves deep respect :smile:

good job with the arts! I really like the colors and the low poly style is very cool.
And the fast paced gameplay makes fun :grin:
But you should really stay at the good old WASD for the movement :)

Overall a good entry, keep it up!

Totally agree! Always surprised with these cool 3d art made in 48h! I would keep the WASD and maybe throw some background music. I enjoyed playing this game. Congrats!
