Girly the Flowers Mapper by BSO
After 9 hour aprox of the Jam submision time ends... I could say 'I ended the game'... well this took much more time that I thought, I got an incredible problem with the IA of the enemies that take me most of the time of the entire game procesing making :v yeah... maybe because the sleep or idk what happened... but you that are game designer or game creator like me must understand this simple quote:
//IA working:... this is how I had made the IA and what take me much more time to resolve I make thougts like this...
* -> Bot get target void... = set default target...*
* -> Bot get the new target with higger priority than default target...*
* -> Bot get the default target...* :v
WHY?... why I made things like... 'target= defaultTarget; defaultTarget = prioritytarget; target = defaultTarget
Well... the same like the priority choosen...
* -> Bot go get the closest target...*
* -> :v*
* -> "Why you get a way far target?"*
* -> What is your target?... What the hell is going on with your head bot?... >:v*
* -> No bot fault... it was my mistake again...*
But after all those strange issues I really enjoy about make the game... of course I fall because the tire... I must suppose that but the same of previous Ludum Dare entries... I learned a lot and this time I guess... I am serious that I can make a game... a true game from all those I learned this year...
What I learned during this Ludum dare and the previos year of participation with you here...
I learned a lot of the game making, but this time focused on the texture wrap and unwrap in general about the importance of textures and game image to the game inself... I learned use the NavMesh agent from Unity to move... is something that I wanted to learn because you can imagine the potential that this kind of things can have for a solo game developper like me... I learned much about modeling making the pass year... this time... during this week... and specially during this weekend I can say definitelly that I really and first time from the last two years making models... I enjoyed making the models, I enjoy use Blender to make the animations... to make the models, to make te textures... maybe because using the textures I see and I saw the differences that they can make... of course... I enjoy making textures in the past... but I feel that like an "obligation" to make models and animations at Blender... just to say... "I need them because I need models to my game and I need make them"... like an obligation... but... maybe this time I enjoy much more making models, making the textures for the game that the coding...
Of course not because the pain of the IA errors... just only... talking about what and how you feel when you make something... of course... I will try to still learning at the future... and try to do much more an better games... I feel like that is coming true... I am too close to start "end a game"... an that feel really good...
What I do after the jam's time ends:...
You must consider that I don't make much changes after the jam... submisions ends... what I do is the "game schema"... just to explain that... until the last day the 'game' was not a game... it was just a lot of code and something like that separated... nothing about a game... just... terrain here... models here... scripts here... and there... well...
Basically what I add the temporalizator from the top of the game-camera... and the trigger to that temporalizator... I can't submit a game that is not a game... an someone last Ludum dare told me... "using the unfixed version was a waste of time to the players"... using that... I made the "game inself"... of course that was not planed at the start, and the game changes terrible during the time of the jam... and... of course... at the end of the timer of the jam submision I was working at the last thing to do... IA... and... that takes me a lot of time... I was thinking that I could make that during the last two hours but... :v with those complications on my mind... how I can make that withing these time?... that took me half day to make... I uploaded the ".rar" file to dropBox at 4:40 PM... my internet is slow... because that I go to sleep after do that... and now that is 21:03 PM... I put the game at Ludum Dare page...
Nothing more to say from here... and excuse me if I write too much, I love write, I love programming my games, I love making models and textures at Blender... essencially... I love all those thing that Ludum dare bring us...
Talk about my game?...
IDK... really... really?... just... play it, and enjoy... :v at least I though the graphics still good... I can't add the models and the textures I made... even change the style of game because... I can't add the Iodesha animation and at first place I thought about the idea to make and... 'follow you game'... an single bot that follow you and takes the flower... and you know... the flowers are poised and Girly got an belly pain... and the Doctor say "Iodesha, you must take care of Girly" and game over... :D but... of course, I can't add more than this... and the game still playing like I wanted... the models animated of Iodesha can't use... and, the doctor model... don't appear much how I wish to do... but... still good...
//A simple game mechanic to get the flowers... about the commands: - At main dialog scene you can puss "Esc" key to load the main game scene... - At main game scene you can move the camera up and down with the whell of the mouse... - At main game scene you can rotate pressing the secondary mouse buttom and holding them... the movement is only around the Girly character using the mouse x (left to right movement) - At main game scene you can click at the terrain to send a command to move and take up the flowers... only the flowers called Pindula can be take, not the grass (I miss the making of more flowers but... as I say 'not time') - It's all...

Not sure what the goal was, but all I really got to do was run around collecting flowers. Nothing past that really happened.
