Crazy Car by ritoban123

[raw]
made by ritoban123 for LD 39 (COMPO)

Hello! This is Crazy Car, a game I made for the Ludum Dare 39 Compo! This was made in the final 8 hours because I did not have access to my laptop. This is also my first Ludum Dare. Hope you enjoy playing!

Controls: Up/W - Accelerate Left/A - Change Lanes, Left Right/D - Change Lanes, Right Space - Restart Alt-F4/Crtl-W - Quit

This was made using the Unity Game Engine with C# Scripting. Blender was used for the 3D models. Bfxr was used for the sound effects. Visual Studio 2017 was the IDE of choice.

Simple and fun, it lacks some polish, but it is playable. PS I scored over 1600 points.

Congrats on your first LD! The only thing I found frustrating was the cooldown on lane changes. Nice job for how little time you had.

Simple but nice. It looks really good, especially the car model. Would like to see a speed increase over time, it was too easy to dodge the rocks. Well done!

Nice car, nice colors!
The only thing I didn't like is the pick-up sound, which sounds out of tune (seems to use an interval of a non-integer number of semitones, as will do sfxr/bfxr default settings).
It's fun driving in this shiny road, however, the gameplay isn't very challenging ; maybe there shouldn't be an upper speed limit, so it would create an incentive for the player to take more risks!
