Walkabout by Galan

You are on a journey, and the road is long. What will happen? Who will you meet? And how will you react to them?
Walkabout is a short atmospheric experience about traveling and the people you meet on the road. Built around a simple branching dialog system, the goal of the game is simply to talk, and see how you are remembered.
Controls:
Up Arrow: walk
1&2 Keys: make choices
ESC: exit
Note: The game does have an 'ending'. If you're in doubt, it's not over.
Update: Restored some files that weren't exported by default.

I also like your art-style, despite being so minimalistic it absolutely has charm.
The end felt a bit "too on the nose" though.
I like it as a small self-contained thing, but I don't think it has much potential to be much more than that, and it may not be much of a game. I could see this being somewhat of a format for small short stories, sort of like an interactive webcomic format. It's interesting for sure.
Walking in steps like that is kind of annoying, it would be best if you could just keep the Up arrow key pressed to move forward.
As others have said, the "choices" don't seem to make any difference other than some dialog changes.
Objects are "loaded" one "turn" before they come into the foreground, but they are already visible, so they just pop into existance and stay still at the background while other things move until you take the next step. I think you did that to avoid hanging on loading of objects, but maybe they should appear invisible and only become visible when they start moving.
Those things aside, good job on the night/day cicle and congratulations for participating! :)
Not enough things going on, I understand the appeal of Walking Simulators, but walking in this was a chore, and there just wasn't enough going on to really "Get" it.
It looks neat, I like the visuals of the outlines. Its unfortunate that the "joke" of the game is kind of ruined by knowing the theme of the jam! As soon as I saw the same guy show up again, I knew this was gonna be it, ha.
It might be a cool starting point for a bigger kind of game that sticks to the same visual idea. Maybe you encounter different people, maybe some walk with you, and the environment changes as you travel between different kinds of places, maybe generated from random images and color schemes. Thats the kind of game I imagined I was playing at the start! I mean, obviously, the point of this game here
