The only things that bothered me are the "How to play", which doesn't match the actual controls, and the fact that sometimes I could mash the buttons and solve the puzzles before they appeared on screen.
Please, take a look at my game too: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/confessional

As others have said, the game felt quite slow to begin with and you can very easily solve the puzzles by pressing all the buttons repeatedly. Having some punishment like having the player stop for a second or something like that would be better and force the player to think more.
Cool entry, well made game
Overall, fun game!
Good job again in completing something that looks so good within the deadline!
We are working on a version with some improvements and fixes.
Also a little bit hard for colorblind when it speed up.
Realy nice graphics btw. Realy love pixel art style !
Anyway It was a bit lon before difficulty goes up but the idea is nice, well done :)
There also needs to be some sort of punishment for pressing the wrong button because as someone else said atm you can just sit there pressing all the buttons really fast randomly and you'll get through an awful lot without even trying!
I liked the art and the premise and I thought the audio was pretty good too - good job!
Overall, amazing job!
Needs work with the difficulty curve and stuff.
Great work overall
Good job!
Having a penalty from casting the wrong spell and more predictability (learn spellcombos that counter specific traps) might push this to be truly addictive =)
Music sounds really epic for the mood.
Can you Rate My first LD entry too? : https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/gender-circle
Also worked well with PS4 controller :)
But some penalty is indeed necessary to prevent spamming!
However like many above I just spammed buttons with no penalty which sucked all the challenge and fun from the game :( I also felt the pacing was a bit boring. It would have been cool do see more than one enemy on screen at once and for the character to slow down - almost like a quick time event where I had to hit the buttons in the right order.
As for penalties, perhaps every time the wrong button was pressed - i.e. a failed cast - knock the wizard backwards towards the chasing knights. When the wizard reaches the knights it's game over.
Maybe the only issue is that it starts very slowly but the difficulty at some point raises too fast with both the obstacles coming one after the other with multiple spells to cast.
Great concept!
I had problems with the audio though, it didn't play any sound whatsoever, even after refreshing the page (I'm using Chrome btw).
I would suggest to add a mana bar or some kind of limitation on the spell usage, since I kept spaming the spells over and over again and destroyed the obstacles for about 8 minutes, before they even appear at the screen.
Leaving aside this "exploit" it has lots of potential, it can be tricky sometimes to react fast enough. I've got some Temple Run vibes :)
Congratulations on the project! Great entry!
* Beautiful graphics and effects
* Charming music
* Parallax background :heart:
My comments:thinking:
* At the beginning easy to play, maybe add a spell that will increase the speed of movement
Great game, keep working on it :fireworks:
Good job, and good luck!
I left my rating of your game, if you can leave your feedback in our game, Witch’s Escape.
I hope you continue with the project.

I have left my comment on the games I played and really liked.
In some that stand out, I try to leave better feedback, but it's very complicated for me. When the game is not so cool, just notice that I left my rating. I hope you understand.
I just think the difficulty could increase a little faster.
@connell, @marcial, @arche-san, @szabe, @martintristan and @jiri-hysek How nice that you liked pixel art and sound, our artists would like to praise you. Thank you so much for playing.
@chema-esteo We are working on some solution to this problem but it is not being easy you can believe. Thanks for the feedback and for playing
As everyone already suggested spam all direction button will break the gameplay.
The pixel-art is very well done and gives a nice retro feel. However I didn't liked the particle effect when defeating an obstacle. This is most likely very personal. I prefer when pixel-art games have consistent pixel density.
I don't know if you want to keep working on the game. But one thing I noticed is when playing a second time (which I did after finding out the key mashing) the beginning of the game feels very slow and too easy. I understand this was done as a 'tutorial' though and it's totally fine for a jam game.
Overall a very solid entry that I had lot of fun to try. Thank you :)
This is a great game, I really like the art and music. And just as I was starting to think this could be a little faster paced, I started getting double and then triple buttons and it was pretty fun. Great job!
Also, for the spikes in the floor, if I didn't use the magic the character still ran straight over them and game continued.
Here is our game if you want to test it!

The graphics and audio were really well-done.
The gameplay itself was a little slow and simple, but it was fun enough. If you go farther with this project, I suggest leaving less space between obstacles.
Please check out [my game](https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/blackjack-beats) if you have time - I still need ratings!
It'd be nice to have some sort of punishment for pressing the wrong keys such as have the pattern reset since you can spam all the arrows, also it seems like the music/sound doesn't work on the WebGL version.
Anyways, nice entry. :)
Noticed some bugs related to aspect ratio: the kings dialog is cut off a bit on the left of the screen, and the position of the element buttons is higher than intended.
These bugs appear on a 16:10 aspect ratio monitor, and on the gamejolt page. The canvas on the page is 960x600 so also 16:10. If you change the canvas to 960x540 that will give you 16:9. You may also want to letterbox the game when it’s not displayed at 16:9 to fix this in fullscreen.
The central gameplay is cool and fit the theme. I would recommend adding a penalty when you hit the wrong key, either lowering the score or reset the obstacle, so we wont be able to just press all the keys randomly and get thru. Overall it is a great idea, well executed and that could become something bigger if you continue developing it, maybe add special powers with a cool down that will remove the obstacle on screen etc. Great work ! :)
Overall cool game, keep coding :)
I liked the ambiance and overall feel of the game. Well done
But other than that, it looks good, it feels good, it runs well and I didn't find any bugs that would stop me from playing. Congratulations on a great entry and if you have time, please play mine at https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/last-stand
https://boscaceoil.net/ and https://www.bfxr.net/. And don't worry there free and very easy to use. Some screen shake when you cast spells would be cool too. Here's a talk about screen shake :P https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tu-Qe66AvtY&t=722s. Good job and thanks for playing my game "yum some" :)
good job :)
Also, no audio? Or was that just a bug on my end?
Amazing graphics though!
Also, you can just mash every button all the time and can't lose ahah
But good work overall! Congrats
Also thank you for trying out our game and leaving such positive feedback! :-)
