Robby & Coppy by Imphenzia
PLAY HERE (WebGL + Win): https://imphenzia.itch.io/robby-coppy
Use ADSW/ARROWS and SPACE to jump. Use FIRE2 (Left Ctrl) to eat Energy Bars for 5 second energy bursts which increases speed and jump force.
Complete the levels with as much money collected as possible - but being too greedy may cause your bag to become too heavy which reduces your speed. The more money you collect the more difficult it will be to complete.
Theme: "The More You Have, The Worse It Is" = the more money you have the worse your ability is to move and jump. Your greed to collect coins may prevent you to succeed =)
Thanks for playing and rating!
2017-12-06: I've fixed the WebGL player so it maximizes properly when played in full screen now.

Overall, a 4.5 star game for me.
btw: Coppy in lv3 are so crazy (/TДT)/
i like how the coppy are working. Nice game mechanics.
Nice game, but I think the levels could have a better design. I couldn't get pass level two because my speed was so slow I didn't reach the next platform.
Nice music!

Great job!
You can check out my game here: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/40/voxel-mob-arena - thanks!
Need more game mechanics along with progression. Good job!
Yes @bartosz, I made the music too - music what I've done longer than making games although I do find it challenging to make music under pressure because some days it just "doesn't click" - but I wanted a synth '80s cop-series style track so I did what I could during the two hours I had put aside for music =)
Btw - i give you 5 in audio because there is no 6 ;)
I like the graphics and animations. Also the audio is super nice :)
PS: I hope I don't brake any rules by saying thanks for make all the awesome assets for Unity :D
I found myself just needing to collect the coins because of how shiny they were and the satisfying sound effect you got when you picked them up! Unfortunately I was way too greedy most of the time, until I learned to resist the temptation to grab them (i felt like the character in that respect).
The character's jump animation was strangely cool too. Not sure what it was, but it made jumping fun.
Nice work all round!
@mike-cullingham - yeah, sound is a combination of a Doritos crisp being crushed in my hand and various thuds of me banging a couple of things right next to me like a pillow and a door. Yes, the effect is not really too apparent until level 3 and onwards where you have to start skipping coins to make it.
Liked your post of new drawings for the game as well
Game-play wasn’t that good, but overall its okay.

With fluid visuals and tight mechanics, this game was a cool experience to play. Since the change of speed was so gradual, I actually barely noticed getting slower and slower until I started a new level. Turns out, I was just slowly forgetting how fast this robber actually was.
I liked the overall feeling of the game. Nothing too floaty, and nothing that felt unfair. The policemen were easy to spot, and because they had a tell, it always felt possible to dodge them, assuming the player had enough speed. The risk-reward factor did become relevant in the later part of the game. It also adds a bit of challenge to just have 3 bars for the whole game. Makes it more tactical to manage them.
Great submission there. [In behalf of my team](https://twitter.com/WhalesAndGames), we're rooting for your future projects and during the compo! Good job! :whale:
I posted these in the LD-feed but today I sketched a potential of 31 characters to be used in a post-compo version:

The controls are pretty good too, the levels could use a little more work. The jumps don't quite "click". I'll try to explain. When you jump from a square block onto the next one (in one of those stairs-parts), you jump over the coin and you have to walk back. It's a really minor thing, but you kind of expect to collect the coin with that jump :)
Cheers, happy to have played it! :)
Also, it's a bit weird to be leaving the bank with 0 coins and an empty bag. Maybe the bank could be the end of the level instead, so instead of robbing the bank, the robber is depositing his coins there so he can start the next level with an empty bag?
