Conquery - Conquer The World! by Tanay
It's 2503 AD. A maniac wants to capture the world using his machine, Conquery. He thinks the world his small enough for him to capture. Conquery doesn't have any attack units built in. But, Conquery has units which can capture any planet and make it act as its turret. Can you capture the world controlling Conquery?

BTW, I know the level design isn't any good but time wasn't sufficient! I'm going to add more levels soon, though.
OPT-OUT: Sounds, I added them after the game jam ended so don't rate me on them!

I hope to see more updates on this!
Also, whenever your mouse moves outside the screen, the controls stop working, which is a HUGE problem when you're trying to deftly avoid bullets!
I liked the concept (although not sure why planets have walls around them ... could have just been magic circles or something lol) and the fluidity of the gameplay. I won on my second try, but it was challenging nonetheless. I would've definitely stuck around for a level 2. The music was good if repetitive (without a good loop), and the sound was good, even if these were post-jam things.
I agree the mouse controls made the game much harder. I'd have preferred a keyboard option for sure. I also would've liked a full-screen option, and ended up zooming on my browser to fit the whole canvas. Although this made mouse control even harder! Graphics could also have used a significant facelift. Some effects were there, while they were nothing special.
The mechanics were solid but missing some crucial elements. Personally I think it would be valuable to give the player feedback on why AI behaves as it does, for example by including the player's line of sight. The UI could also use more valuable information such as labelling the player health bar. Once you figure out the puzzle of how to win, the game is fairly straightforward.
That being said this was a fun challenge and I think could be an exciting level 1 for a much bigger game! Lots of fun to play and write this feedback on.
I couldn't always figure out how to dummy the AI out of hiding. I wish there were a more straightforward way to "git gud."
But after that, man that was fun :D ! Is very smooth and have the right time (in a point i was "dancing" to dodge the bullets ). The music and sounds are simple but suits well. Very good job ! :D
Maybe a future .io version will be a cool ideia to work on!
简单但也不失乐趣。但感觉用WASD移动更符合知觉?现在要按住鼠标有点难操作。
There were definitely some small rough points that made it a little frustrating. I kept dying because my character would suddenly stop moving for some reason. After a while I realized it's because the mouse was exiting the game window for a brief moment and that meant I had to click again. Capturing the mouse (or I guess playing the game in full screen) would help fix this. It felt a bit too challenging right now. At first I thought what you were supposed to do is lure the enemies back to your turrets, but I guess that might make it too easy?
