Masterpiece on the main character's pixel art hahaha
Love the balance of making a nice meal while being pursued by zombies
It says good job but then I don't get any bullets from making a recipe
Game controls and single click ingredient steps like in "Cook Serve Delicious" could make this super fun as well
Great entry fellas

I really enjoyed the pixel art and the music transitions, it really tied the comical element together well! I will say the learning curve was a bit steep on creating/cooking the recipes. I felt punished by not being able to move my character while combining ingredients, and even more so when closing the cookbook/menu and reopening it to find that the ingredients I started to combine had been removed. Great job overall!

Rad music! I like how the music even switches between genres. I think I got to around stage 4 or 5 by hiding behind the boxes. I think it would be cool to switch ammo types. Michael Jackson zombie was my favorite!

Fun little game. The music and the graphics really well emphasised the absurdity of the combination of the two genres. It's fun to play and a good challenge.

Best aspects
- Graphics and music combination
- Theme mashup
- Smooth gameplay

Tips for improvement
- I'd suggest making the first level easier though (slower zombies e.g.), because it took me a while to get a grip on all the different recipes and ingredients (especially the pepper and tomato are very similair at first glance).
- Maybe a wave or score counter at the end to see check how well you did.

I think it's a well thought-out game with a good sense of humor.

It has good sense of humor with excellent pixel art graphics. I liked the game but it was hard for me and I stuck at the first level. Liked the music and effects. Very interesting combination indeed.

Well it is a really cool little game ! Love the ambience and the graphical aspect of it. The pixel art is very well done.
Had little trouble on making bullets as I got a bit lost in translation here but it is really fun. Well done !

I love the artwork and music, sound effects were good too. I did find it a little awkward to play though, even once I figured out how the recipe system works I never found the time to put anything together before the zombies were on me. I think I'd either allow movement while the recipe screen is open, or freeze the action (even going into slow motion could work).

Like it a lot. But it is really difficult to cook when zombies are chasing you. It is nothing bad though - I guess it had to be like that :D

It took me a while do undestand how you cook bullet. Pretty cool game. The graphics are gorgeous and the music fits the game really well.

Super hard, but very funny and well made. Maybe it could pause time for a bit when you open the cooking screen?

Feels very polished throughout, y'all did a good job!

Absolutely incredible! Awesome music - I love how it changes when you're cooking. Amazing pixel art. Really fun gameplay. Satisfying sound effects. Cute food icons and funny text-splash things (is there a word for those?). A true Ludum Dare masterpiece.

Great stuff, took a while how to figure out to cook bullets, but I got it after I figured I can cheat by letting the enemies get caught on the pillars. Love the pixel art , music is pretty cool too. Thanks for the follow!

Well, it's about time someone made a game starring yours truly :) I really dig the ammo crafting mechanic. The game looks super simple and easy until you start trying to actually make some ammo. Music's great, too. I love it!

The art and general feel of the game is awesome. My only complain is the ammo crafting, I had a hard time with, losing ingredients. But that aside, good job on this entry :D

Beautiful and well-executed gameplay that nails the theme. Really good music/sounds! It took me a little while to understand what was happening on the cooking menu, but once I got that, I was having fun with this one. Great job!

But you've made very nice graphics and music ! Well done !

This is my personal favorite so far, fantastic game. really hectic trying to kite the zombies while preparing food. Would be cool if you could put the food combinations on the hud or in the level just to avoid the player having to memorise each menu item.

Very impressive entry! The music, the look, the controls, the gameplay - just all around awesome job. Looks great and is such a fun and hilarious idea - I especially like the look of the Last Action Pizza Hero. I wish that when you went into the creation menu that it slowed time even just a little so I had a chance to make an item before zombies got a swing in. Also I wish there was simpler items to make that only required 2 ingredients and maybe did less damage. Food for thought :)

Had a grin on my face constantly while playing this game. Having to stop to cook bullets was a bit stressful, but the ingredients going KAWAII more than made up for it. Great entry!

Fun game, but stopping to drag all of the ingredients in order was pretty annoying, especially because the zombies randomly spawn in from the sides of the map so it's almost never safe to stop. I think a more elegant way of cooking might be to just have a list of recipes that you can reference (maybe even as a part of the player hud), and then the player has to walk to each of the ingredients required and interact with each food station, only pausing briefly at each one. On a positive note though, the game has beautiful art and the fluidity of the movement/controls is excellent, so nice job overall!

Omg, that art style is hilarious! Super macho and gritty, then pink and fluffy with the cooking. Interesting mix of genres! Great job!

Lovely game!

The art style is admirable, the music, the sound effects, and the game feel were also pretty neat! Although I really had some hard time playing the game, especially because of the game design decision of having to put the ingredients in a specific order, maybe if the [E] recipes showed numbers 1 2 3 4 under each ingredient I would have realized it faster. Even after that, cooking bullets and avoiding zombies is not that easy to manage (I think I got only 4 or 5 waves of zombies), and probably creating a quick slowmo whenever the player opens the recipe would help a lot.

Overall you guys made an amazing game! Continuem com o bom trabalho, vocês mandam muito bem :)

That's super tough! I loved the art, and the music was an excellent choice as well. I found some aspects of the gameplay quite confusing - initially I thought I was supposed to be matching what each zombie was thinking about, but then that seemed to not matter, and any successful recipe just gave me a bunch of bullets. Also I read in a comment here that the ingredients had to be in order, which might explain why several times that I thought I had all the ingredients right, nothing happened. I feel like this game could benefit from being a little more forgiving, but it is really fun anyway. Also, excellent intro!

Wow what a coincidence, our game's initial concept was also cooking and zombies!
### What I loved
- The graphics and music are top notch and very professional
- Gunshots felt great
- Really good concept, zombies and cooking.

### :thought_balloon: My Thoughts
- would have been nice to have a tutorial page to tell me to cook to recharge bullets
- I found it impossible to put together food without being touched by the zombies, I think the food combinations were too complex for someone new to the game, start off with 2 ingredient combos and then bring it up in complexity in further rounds.
- other ideas- slow down time when you open the cooking menu, or let you keep running and dodging while cooking

Hope you make a web build or add resizing options to your game, so I can play it on my broken screen.

As you can see I can only see the top left corner of the monitor, so resizable and web games should work. Thnx in advance!

Outstanding work! I'm duly impressed! The gameplay is awesome, the graphics are beautiful, the music fits really nicely (love how the menu music is a calm little tune and then the fighting music is heavy rock), and the theme works really well here! My only concern is that it's too hard to cook while in a fight. Maybe make the cooking menu slow down the zombies a little so you can actually cook stuff?

Great job, and good luck!

Very cool idea, and I love the design of the main character! I really like how you keep the pressure up by not pausing time in the menu. Reminded me of The Last Of Us, and ZombieU. Keep up the great work :)

The artstyle and the music were outstanding. Great job on those! Maybe you could have made the cooking mechanics easier to get into or at least could have made the first level more forgiving. Maybe a tutorial could have helped.

Hey @Belga54 , sorry for the late response. You can hold alt right after executing the game and you should be prompted with the resolution window :)

That's some sweet style you got there! I love the art, the music, the rapid switch from Smash TV to Cooking Mama gameplay, your game has some great presentation values!

That being said, I found cooking the bullets to be too frustrating. It's hard to cook fast enough to avoid getting hit; like others have said, some slowdown while cooking would have alleviated the stress. I also found that, if you finish a meal but exit out of it too fast, you don't get the bullets.

And out of all the puns you could have made, you somehow passed up "BONE Appetit"?

Wow, great job guys !!
The mix of cooking and zombie is really cool and original. 5/5 on theme.
Character design is awesome and hilarious. 5/5 on graphics and humor.

This might be THE best game... if it was more playable. It's just way too hard.
Have you consider making the zombies 15-20% slower ?
An other way to make the game easier would be to create a sort of table or something,
where you could hide for a few seconds to make ammo. The overall design of the kitchen could be improved in that way !

But that is really great work, congrats !

Hi @Elmeri ! Thanks for your feedback.

Unfortunately we were too used to the gameplay when balance was done, the game is definitely too hard! But you should try using the crates at the bottom left/right as barricades, it works just like your table suggestion. :)

Finally I tried this game, and it was a very good experience. I liked those well polished graphics and this good music. But wished that I could move while cooking cuz it was nearly impossible to cook without getting killed, it was a good challenge though, I rage quitted. GG!

I loved the idea and the art. I just think that when it comes to pitching I should either stop the game or allow you to walk to be able to pull. Congratulations for the game.

I left my rating of your game, if you can leave your feedback in our game, Witch's Escape.

I hope you continue with the project.
