Welcome brave swordsman! The world is falling and only You can stop it! Many years of ill consumerism and the corporate rat race have led to the degeneration of society. Evil corporations in agreement with the government and demonic forces have created a system in which the only currency is human life. Humanity has lost its sense and many have gone mad and have gone to the desert. Now they are wandering and attacking everything they encounter on their path. The last hope in you. Go and save the world!

Really cool! I love the sword mechanic and the upgrade system is pretty fun, too. Most of all, the music **rocks** and I love the vibe it creates.

Experienced a game freeze two times but other than that, really great game!

Great work!

The sword swinging mechanic is the thing I love this game for. It's a simple concept, but very well executed. Game is a bit hard, but very satisfying, and has a great mood created by awesome music. Just some more polish in feedback areas (for example sounds when hitting someone) could be great.

Really like the unique sword mechanic, makes me feel like I'm wildly swinging my sword and hoping for the best, which, judging by the backstory, it seems pretty accurate. Was kind of confused as to where the whole life is currency theme fit though until I realized I needed to trade my life for currency to progress to the next stage. Overall, it was really fun!

Quite funny gameplay. Really like the sword mechanics
But would be good if you could aim with both sowrds to the bottom and to the top aswell

Super game ! Really like the upgrade and the exchange for life. I found that I could put ennemy behind block and hit them easy but once the one range attacked me It became super hard XD
The upgrade system is really cool and the way we handle combat is super great. The theme is super well respected, good job !

The controls felt a bit strange but worked.

@krzysztof-jablonski The 'freeze' bug is fixed (i think so). Thanks but the music is unfortunately not ours.

@lord9000 Thanks. The music is not ours. The sound effects and more animation for feedback it's good idea,
nfortunately, we did not have enough time.

@random-thoughts Thanks!

@nico-fallosch Thanks! Aiming with two swords is a great idea, but it will be difficult to add it with just one mouse.

@shaddo Thanks! I really appreciate your view of use the theme in our game, because for the most part of the event we were afraid that the game has too little to do with the theme.

@brinkhousegames Thanks!

@itsjustjord Thanks!

@xmpt-luke One of the better?! Thank you very much! :heart: Since this, according to you, is one of the best, you probably did not play other games too much.

@tgiant Thanks! What do you mean by 'bit strange'?

This is awesome game!
I like it very much, it brings a lot of fun and it's addictive ;D
Music very good and this game fits the 'Life is your currency' theme perfectly!

The game is pretty cool! I like that the combat feels a bit tactile that it moves with the mouse. I think it would be better if the mouse wasn't visible and the sword would slash based on the speed and mouse direction. Other than that, great game!

Thanks for your entry! I was very entertained at first and really surprised about the way to implemented your fighting mechanics. Sadly, it got repetetive and annoying rather quickly. The mouse cursor went out of the window pretty fast and it was more of a chore than a satisfying gameplay mechanic to swing the the mouse around like crazy. Hitting enemies didn't feel too satisfying as well and there was basically no strategy involved. I think this could work pretty well, when the mouse movements have to be very deliberate to actually work like a sword swing. The ki of the enemeies was pretty basic as well and easy to exploit, but I guess that's to be expected in a game jam ;) The art was ok but looked a bit jumbled together. Could use some more polish.
But all in all, it's a good entry. Keep up the work!

I like the battle mechanic! It's a fun way to have this kind of fight. It's got a lot of potential!

While fighting some characters, I had the game totally freeze up on me. I also encountered some really tricky controls so long as I had an xbox controller connected to my machine (the character would only move to the side, even if the controller wasn't registering inputs).

Nicely designed game, as for one person congrats on completing it on your own. For my style i would delete the white colour that surrounds some sprites. Overall interesting take on topic. Cool game!

I really like this! It has really fun fighting mechanics, although I wish the player was a bit faster.

I love this game! Very well done with the concept, i like it. I laughed a lot when the **SPOILER** book of DIE just launches a big DIE at the enemy XD.
There is something that could be better tho: there is no feedback when hitting the enemies and being hit by enemies I also have this problem in my own game and they suggested me to watch this video, it's a great video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AJdEqssNZ-U

Loved the introductory flavour text :smiley: The sword fighting by cursor movement is a super interesting mechanic, that you should explore more! Could be cool to support more nuanced movements of the mouse, not just the rotation of the sword around the character, if you want to take this concept further. Poking, parrying, etc, would really be interesting. The doubble daggers tho, felt bad, honestly, they lessened the need to aim your sword, making it seem like the best strategy would be to just shake the mouse ^^. Cool game, with a neat twist on the upgrades, and a really interessting fighting mechanic. Thanks for sharing!

@bartekd97 Thanks!

@shulololo Thanks! If the game would continue, (or rather will not be because the code is a total mess, though you never know) such mechanics would be the first in order to be implemented.

@dev-for-pizza Thanks!

@duke Thanks! A full screen would prevent the cursor from moving out of the screen. I decided, however, for a window because I know that windows10 can have problems with full screen, although it can be turned on by pressing the f12 key. Yes, the area of game-feedback, like the sound, when the enemy hits or some screen effects are a big problem of the game, or rather their lack. If I had enough time, I would definitely add it. I really appreciate such constructive criticism. Thanks!

@hwaet Thanks! I really don't know what's going on with gamepad controls. :sob: Everyone of mine gamepads works with game perfectly. So sadly I can only to sum up it with sentence _Weird... works for me_

@flamus Thanks! I'm not the best pixel-art artist... I'm not even an artist XD A white outline was added at the very beginning of the work and then it would be too time-consuming to remove.

@untitled-studios Thanks! I hope that the slow movement of the player was not so annoying.

@tozzo4316 Thanks! I'm glad that it made you laugh! OH! It's nice that you sent me this video. I will definitly watch it! Thanks!

@webox Thanks! WOW! On the touchpad?! A good feat!

@david-wildemann thanks! I would really like to continue and explore this project more but the game code is a mess! My friend plans to use this mechanics in a non-jam game. If I cooperate with him, we will implement everything for sure!

@turtwiggy Thanks! What do You mean by `more direction`???

@falak Yeah fair supposed that word is very obscure haha. I mean things like objectives. I.e. go in to this section of the map, kill X things... (or some progression). I know that's unlikely given it's a game jam (it's a really cool game-jam entry), just thought I'd give some feedback if you wanted to continue to dev it :)

A very fun little game. I liked how you can both sell health for gold but also gold for health. I also really liked that you attacked by just swinging the sword with the mouse, it was a nice simple dynamic. One thing I would have liked is a visual or audio cue to tell you when an enemy is hurting you. But a great game that works well with the theme :)
