Wow this is actually a really clever idea. I think it could work very well with some puzzle elements as well. With polish it could end up being a very good shooter game with a lot of thinking and strategy.

5/5 Innovation from me! I loved it! It was such fun and interesting. Something I've never played before. I wish there would be a full time game of this, with hundreds of levels, because I would play this thing all day long. One of my definitive favourites this LD! :)

I really enjoyed playing it ! The difficulty curves was well balanced, the game is really self-explanatory and we immediattly understand how to play it, and the little tricks can come in mind really quick ! I finish it maybe too quickly, but for a game jam game, it's perfect ! And the idea of the wall who follow you and stop you from running away + the two direction to shoot + the different type of ennemy was all great idea from the core mecanic and made the game work really well !

27. Apr 2018 · 22:59 UTC
Nice, this could be great with some tweaked movement, a little polish on gfx/sound etc. Great concept. Was fairly quick to get an almost instinctive movement with the die to get the matching number face to the enemy.

Would be interesting if the flip side defende - I.E. the enemies had numbered bullets too, and you had to shield with the matching/opposite side. :)

28. Apr 2018 · 01:19 UTC
As someone that really loves dice, this was a cool concept! The idea is instantly recognizable and is very easy to jump in and play.

If this was built out more, I think I'd personally like to see more unique level design that plays off your movement limitations and makes things a bit more puzzle-like. At the moment, enemies don't really feel like much of a threat because it's easy enough to just duck out of the way, position yourself, and then go on the offensive.

Perhaps designing more levels where your movement is limited by bridges or hallways, and you have to quickly maneuver to get into position before approaching enemies reach you. I think keeping the very free and open movement in the very beginning is perfect though. It gives the player enough time to just mess around and get accustom to the controls.

Awesome job!

This was an interesting game. I liked the whole unique concept, but I wished the directions on how to play were a bit more clearer. I also think this game would be much better with some audio. I noticed that the NPCs that were not tanks did not have smart AI and they were too easy to just skip past without killing. Now I know that the score component in the game is to motivate the player to try to kill the most NPCs, but I still think the game would be more fun and challenging if they had smarter AI. They could have either stood in place and shoot or they could have been like the red tanks in the game. I also think that the game would be much better if it had better UI that was polished and pretty.

Really neat concept. The enemies and movement were really well done. I liked the halo effect around the tank lasers, which is something I want to figure out how to do. Sometimes it was hard knowing what numbers were on the sides where I couldn't see. Some cooldown on the rate of fire would prevent button mashing. I was also able to make it pretty far without attacking any enemies at all. Disappointed that there were no sound effects or music.

5-stars! When I dodged bullets and aligned my die face to the target number I felt clever! If you continue to develop this, when the blocks approached with numerals on them, and I shot at them and some of them were destroyed and others were not destroyed, I felt confused. I didn't recognize the number needed to match the bullet pattern and didn't notice the bullet pattern varied by the shooting face of the die.

I was really impressed by this game! It didn't look like much but this is a really interesting qnd original use of a dye in-game. Really cool idea! Shooting from the dots of the die is a nice concept. Enemies that need a specific type of shot made it all pretty funny. A bit of sound design could have helped. It's sad that it was over so fast. Some more levels (or even an endless mode) could help here :)

Oh, how I wish I had that same idea before! I loved it! I wish it was faster to swap between numbers, so the game could be more intense, but other than that, I had fun confusing the heck of my brain. Pretty cool concept! It's definitely hard to keep track of where the numbers are, but I liked that you had to shoot things with the right number to get them.

Waaaw nice concept ! When i saw the gif, I knew I would love this game !
I think the game would be a bit better if each enemy has a patern depending of their number (moving enemies are n1, shooting enemy are n2, etc.) but still huge game ! Nice entry, one of my fav concept

This was a nice idea. I liked that you had to do some strategic maneuvering in order to hit the different units.
I could not hear any sound, but I guess we all had to make cuts somewhere.
Well done!

Such a fun idea! I'm not sure I'd agree that it's really a "dice game" in the sense of the genre since that would imply randomness whereas here I had full control over how the die would roll, but a great concept nonetheless. Enjoyed it a lot! Unfortunately I wasn't good enough to reach the end despite many attempts. :p

I see you opted into the audio category but I couldn't hear any sound (tried both web and .exe)... Is that a problem on my end or was there actually no sound? I think you can opt out of the audio category in that case if you want to. c:

Not really sure what else to say. It felt quite original and I really liked the æsthetic of using other "toy"-like elements like the LEGO bricks. I think you could really build on that and especially sell it with fittingly accompanying music (perhaps with toy instruments) if you decided to keep working on this post jam!

Would be nice to move a little faster and to be able to shoot while rolling (with the number of bullets corresponding to the side about to be the current one).

Really cool entry! Good job!

Nice idea, the puzzling behavior of knowing which face of the dice to shoot is quite interesting, good job!

It was way more captivating than I thought it would be! Near the middle section with a couple stationary shooting tanks and a couple moving tanks I was really getting in the zone. Awesome concept.

I liked it. You really have to think your moves out. It's tough.
