Charge UP: EXTREME! Limited Edition by drinix

[raw]
made by drinix for LD 39 (COMPO)

This is Charge Up: EXTREME! Limited Edition, a game I made(tried* to make) for this ludum dare, unlike other times I used Unity, this time I went full hardcore C++, and how did it go you ask, well, EXTREME! just kidding, didn't have a lot of time to work on the game and my first C++ game(YAY), after 10 Unity and 2 Construct 2 games, this is a great moment for me and humanity..

Anyway Instructions:

Installation: Just extract the file with the .zip extention..

How To Run: Just open the file with the .exe extention..

How To Play: Left, Right, and Space..

How To Quit: Alt + F4.. Sorry had no time to implement that :), and yes I made the window fullscreen.. oops my mistake :P.

Features: 1.TileMaps that turn plain numbers to.. Tiles with textures(oouhh fancy word).

2.Collision Detection.. Fun fact this is the first time I actually implement proper 'physics' from scratch :D, so proud right now.

3.Speed, Acceleration, Decceleration, Friction.. Fancy physics vocabulary.. YAY!

Thank you so much for wasting your time on this awesome first C++ game of mine, please rate how much you think I deserve for actually getting this far in under 15 hours? maybe more, idk.

Don't forget to leave some feedback.

P.S: I think it requires VC++ Redists but nvm I'm sure you have them installed! I hope..

I wish I could play your game but straight after running the exe my screen turned black and I could not exit the program (had to restart my pc in the end). I do have the VC++ redist installed, but maybe not the newest.

Hey bud, so I was able to get the game to show up, albeit at a funky resolution which it switched my entire comp to for the duration, and I know this because although it seemed like it wanted to be fullscreen, it took up the top left corner, leaving the rest of my windows visible on the rest of the screen, as well as a command window with velocity etc written on it, which was interesting. Meanwhile, I tried to jump onto the first platform, but I couldn't jump high enough! haha I'm thinking maybe you built the jump code based on screen resolution and since mine failed to go fullscreen maybe the res wasn't right as well. I'm guessing on your computer you jump higher. Anyway, hard to help beyond that. The character looked cute! :)

Also, you may not be aware, but you have to rate and leave comments on other people's games in order to have "karma" which then gives your game more visibility. I decided to go on the "zero" filter, which shows games that haven't had much or any activity, and that's how I ended up here... just fyi. Play some games! :)
